It's not often you get a lot more than you expected in a hotel stay. But words like romance, tranquility, hospitality understate the amazing service Kay and her friendly staff provide. Each day the chalet is packed with a fresh breakfast which has to be seen to be believed. The chalet we stayed in (Mauna Loa) would be perfect for...

My husband and I stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge after a trip to see the lava flow. What an experience! The accomodations and service provided by Kay and her staff are A+. I only wish we had booked more than 1 night.

A truly lovely property located in the rain forest only minutes away from the Volcanoes National Park. Quiet, peaceful and private with a substantial heat-it-yourself breakfast. They also have a hot tub which is nice because it gets chilly at 4000 feet. This B&B is paradise in paradise!

I had been reading reviews about Volcano Village lodge for MONTHS prior to our trip. Of course, I was worried that when we arrived it would not be all i dreamed of. Well.. it was. We requested early check in (about 12:00) and they hurried around to accomodate us! It was very generous. We arrived to a bottle of wine,...

Read all the reviews and selected this location based on what I read. It was ALL true. Excellent location......so convenient, cozy accomodations and beautiful surroundings. Extreme attention to detail and very thoughtful to what you will need from food in the room, flashlights, Kona coffee, etc. Wished we had stayed more than 2 nights.

Volcano Village is beautiful and secluded. Our room was amazing and always clean. The staff was very welcoming and on top of everyything. The day we made it to Hawaii we had a little trouble renting a car the first day there due to only having a debit card and not a credit card. We ended up taking a taxi...

We stayed for only one night, so we could be close to Volcanos National Park, but wish we could have stayed longer. The gardens are amazing, they are "sculpted" says Kay the owner. Her and her husband are exceedingly gracious, met us as we came in and gave us the grand tour. Our room was spectacular--they thought of everything, including...

My husband and I had a fantastic 3 night stay (2 nights in the Haleakala and 1 night in the Mauna Kea room) at Volcano Village Lodge to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Our rooms were cozy and comfortable with many thoughtful amenities. We loved the proximity to Volcanoes National Park - both for the ability to arrive in the...

We ended our last trip to Hawaii by spending three marvelous days at the Volcano Village Lodge. Staff, grounds, breakfast, and lodging were great. The concrete of Kailua was replaced with pathways through lush gardens leading to our lodging. Room and deck gave views of the gardens, no pavement, concrete, or crowds in sight. Peace and quiet, no vehicle sounds...
