Nice quiet accommodations very close to Volcanoes National Park. It is clean and quiet. Very good for the price. They have free wi fi as well. I would stay here again. The owner is very friendly. would come here again.

The location could not be beat! Literally "around the corner" from the National Park and the town. The facilities were very clean as well. We have stayed in nicer hostels for less money, but keep in mind its Hawaii, and a private room is going to cost you over $100. However, the "lock out" until 4:30 was a major inconvenience!... More

This is the first time I stayed at a hostel. It is close to Volcanoes National Park. The rooms are simple but clean. The owners close the hostel during the day to clean it. There are also laundry facilities on the property. The kitchen is clean, large and well appointed. My only recommendation is that they clean their blankets which... More

Beautiful location (obviously). Room was extremely old and run down. Smelled like bad cooking due to so many hostellers cooking their food (bleck). The room is way up above and it was a pain lugging my luggage up there. Not worth the price really for my private. The bathroom was good I'll give them that. Yappy little dog barked non... More

We had a private room with private bathroom for our stay in February 2016. Everything was clean and well-cared for. The owner was very nice and it was a great place to stay close to the park. This let us be the first on the trails in the morning, which was lovely!

This is my go to place to stay when visiting Volcano National Park before backpacking up to Moana Loa. It is located a little over a mile from Kilauea Crater in a majestic rainforest. The owner lives with his family at the residence and is very accommodating. The Inn is very clean, has very spacious kitchen with free hot chocolate... More

My stay here was really comfortable. The place is clean and well cared for. The manager owner lives under the same roof. The kitchen is huge and well equipped and the bunk beds were comfy. Very well priced and right next to the park. They only take cash.

I stayed 2 nights in a 6 bed female dorm in January '16. The hostel is old and basic and it's closed from late morning to 4:30 PM (when you should be out in the national park anyway), but it's clean, has good facilities and atmosphere. I also really liked the woman running the place. There's a huge kitchen with... More

We arrived from an overnight flight only to find that our Park cabin rental had been cancelled due to fallen trees and this was on the start of the busiest weekend of the Fall. Since we were expecting a cabin, we were ready for sparse. Holo Holo Inn is a great house with dormitory style rooms and a great kitchen... More

My two friends and I stayed at Holo Holo In for two nights in July 2015. It is a very nice hostel, very clean and quiet - and the host family is extremely kind and welcoming. A truly amazing place in the middle of the rainforest and very close to the Volcano Park! The beds were large and very comfortable,... More
