We spent three nights in the Garden Cottage which was a pleasure. Scott and Karen offered warm hospitality, great advice about dining and sight-seeing, and terrific breakfasts. We stayed here between visits to large resorts on Oahu and in Waikoloa. This one felt like the real Hawaii of old. Pahoa is an enjoyable, funky little town.

Another wonderful stay at the Coconut Cottage. You just keep making it better. The breakfast is always great but this time it was amazing, from the fresh juices ,to the best pancakes we have ever had, we truly enjoyed our stay. We can't wait to get back again. We love the changes made in the landscaping, everything was beautiful, we...

We were looking to stay for a couple of nights near Pahoa so we could explore the island's east coast, and ended up renting the Garden Bungalow. It accomodated the four of us comfortably. Scott and Karen were wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were fantastic, with lots of fresh fruit, juice, and home-made creations. Karen even catered specially to our two vegan...

We wanted a place to stay for a night so we could experience the Volcano at night without the long drive back. We also were interested in supporting the Pahoa area as they've been through some tough times lately. Karen and Scott were great hosts. Breakfast was delicious, love the new board with the menu and our names on it!...

We are luck enough to visit Puna a number of times throughout the year, and the Coconut Cottage Bed and Breakfast is our preferred place to stay. The location is absolutely wonderful for exploring Puna District. Scott and Karen start you off right with a great meal (photo tip: you can even get up and out to the coast for...

Karen and Scott were very gracious hosts. They gave us a free upgrade upon arrival. The room was tight, but comfortable. The bed and sheets were like sleeping in a 5 star hotel-very nice, very clean. The shared bathroom is small and dated, but shower was nice and warm. The furnishings in the rest of the house were beautiful and...

We had a great time staying in the cottage. Scott and Karen are wonderful - they gave excellent advice on places to visit in the area, including great snorkeling in the tide pools. And the fresh tropical fruit at breakfast was fantastic. We'll go back there next time we visit Hawaii.

This is a great stay if you are heading to the Big Island! Scott and Karen are fabulous hosts and Karen's breakfast "broke 'da mouth". The rooms are actually better than the pictures. The setting is beautiful and restful. We even enjoyed the coqui frog serenade. Their recommendation for dinner in Pahoa town was also on the mark. This one...

The suite as well as the whole house is beautifully furnished and we felt very much at home. Karen and Scott are simply great hosts. They do everything they can to make your holiday perfect. Breakfast was...
