We had a 1 bedroom condo through our timeshare. The place was huge, on 2 levels. Beautiful lanai overlooking the golf course and ocean. It had a full kitchen(stock up with groceries before you leave Kona or Hilo because the condo is not really close to anything ) We were kind of nervous when we started driving because the GPS...

This resort is beautiful! Our condo was clean and spacious. The ladies at the resort office are super friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the pool (though it is small); however, children are not allowed in the hot tub. We only stayed one night as a pit stop to see the local beaches, but I wish we had another day...

This is one of the most peaceful and serene locations we've ever been to! We'll be back! TIPS before you get there: Regardless of whether you fly into Kona or Hilo, buy an inexpensive cooler and buy your food! About 6 miles from the resort, there is a small store, but it is not open late -- and the prices...

Get away from tourist traps and enjoy life for a while. This is genuine Hawai'i. The quaint town of Naalehu is a short drive and there are ample services there. If you are from the mainland, driving from Sea Mountain Resort to any of the other attractions on the island of Hawai'i is easy. (After all, any Haole would find...

OK, let's get this out of the way: it IS remote and there is NOTHING within walking distance except for a golf course (that we didn't care about) and a great black sand beach. No restaurants, no houses, nothing at all. The nearest dinner restaurant is within 6 miles. However, we loved this aspect of it - as well as...

Sea Mountain is in a great location if you want a peaceful Hawaiian vacation and to spend time at Volcanoes National Park. A short 1/4 mile walk to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, we were treated to Green Sea Turtles resting/nesting on the beach during our April visit. The view from our unit (#37, I think) was great, across the scenic...

We stayed at Sea Mountain Resort #24 after a week at a Resort north of Kona enjoyed the scenic drive shopped before hand stopped at a few road side stands. Once we opened the door and saw the view off the ocean the drive was well worth it as we had planed our 10 days on the big Island and...

We stayed with our two boys (ages 8 and 10), and as we knew what to expect, we had a good week. We stocked up on food in Kona before driving down and spent lots of time at the black sand beach and Volcano National Park. I was very disappointed with the pool (no toys allowed, even if no other...

The area is isolated. No other stores or condos around. This is the only one. Pick you condo carefully, ours needed to have a serious bleaching!! and the removal of the master bedroom carpet, fake plants and all new linens!! So when you look for a condo down here, find one with NO carpet!! It is the wetter side of...
