Called Annie that morning and took a room for 2 nights. We were "winging it" because I thought there would be plenty of places in or around Kona, but found that places were booked up, and Annie only had 2 rooms left. So I would recommend a reservation ahead of time. We got lucky. We took a private room with...

We stayed at Pineapple Park in the private suite early February and were simply impressed with the whole experience. The owner was very friendly and made sure to make us feel welcomed! The place was superb clean, beautiful surroundings, and the room was very welcoming. Great location in Captain Cook and very convenient access to Kona. Highly recommended! A+ and...

My husband and I booked a private double room at Pineapple Park for a few nights, but extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much. It was our home away from home, and I would recommend it without hesitation. We look forward to going back! OVERALL: The place is very clean, safe, well-run, with all the amenities we needed...

The owner ruins what is the "aloha spirit" of Hawaii. The rules are draconian and while I can be sympathetic of the fact that some backpackers abuse the trust and good will of the hostel owners that is no excuse to go postal on the rest of us who are very respectful of not straining the owners resources. I have...

Stayed in a private double room here which was newly renovated in 2014. I found all I needed for a nice stay in this hostel! Totally recommend it!! The hostel features a patio with a nice view, a kitchen and washing facilities as well. They also have surf and snorkel equipment for rent.

The person in charge is obsessed with rules and has no capacity to smile. After I checked in for a second one-night stay, she noticed that my shoes were dirty (I'd hiked to Green Sands Beach that day) she said she'd forgotten to charge me the "one night cleaning fee," which didn't seem to exist during my previous stay. If...

I am here since a month, moving from Maui to Big Island because my rental place was not ready yet. First I stayed here 3 days and then choose to stay for a month because it is here so nice, very clean and the staff is super friendly. The owner Annie is very correct and listens with an open heart...

I stayed here for 3 nights in a 8 bed dorm room. The facilities are pretty average for a hostel, but the owner is extremely unfriendly. Showers are not open 24/7 and the only sinks that are available are not in an enclosed area. No Wifi reception in the dorm room, only outside in the common area.
