I have been staying with Sherri for 2 weeks and this is truly the place to go, when you want to experience the real Hawai'ian lifestyle. You stay in the middle of nature (a lush rainforest) and live your life in harmony with the farm animals. I got to know many of Sherri's friends while staying there and experienced a... More

This was the perfect place for me to stay so I could clear my head. I was actually able to hear myself think, and I was able to relax so completely, it was almost surreal. It was truly an experience to remember, and was able to work for part of my stay. The animals were all so friendly, and I... More

This place is not like an ordinary hotel, it is for people who love nature. It's not for sissies or people who love the city. My boyfriend and I came to the Big Island for an extended stay and were extremely fortunate to find the perfect "worktrade" situation at A Beautiful Day. It totally suited us, and we were so... I loved staying in this magical place in a rainforest. The road to get there is unpaved for a short distance but in very good shape so was not a problem. Sherri is a very warm and welcoming hostess. The jungle sounds at night were great! I got a massage with Sherri and never felt better! Pahoa is just a... More

There is absolutely nothing spa-like about this place. It's similar to a micro-ranch. There are chickens, roosters, rabbits, two friendly cats, a goat, and a donkey, so watch where you step when walking. The donkey loudly brays any time day or night, but fortunately, not often. There are two plywood kit-built cabins and a tree house. There may be a... More

My husband and I went to visit this Island, and were recommended through friends to say at this spa. The owner, Sherri, is absolutly wonderful, kind, and so accomodating. I loved her relaxing stone massage, which left me feeling like jello on the table! I didnt want to leave! I would definalty recommend this hole in the wall spa for... More

Went to Hawaii to write a book, and have been spending the past several months travelling from one hostel to the next. I am calling it my "working vacation." So far, the best part has been my visit to "A Beautiful Day. " It is the only place I was able to truly find peace and be able to connect... More

It has taken my partner and I nearly a year to move from Kona to Hilo, and it's still so noisey there. We decided to treat ourselves to "A Beautiful Day Hawaii" and booked tandem spa treatments as well as an overnight stay. It was extraordinary, so beautiful, with huge trees and orchids, free range bunnies, and MUCH more. So... More

We stayed in the tree house, which is just that, a tree house in a lady's backyard. You sleep outdoors, with millions of frogs yelling in your ears all night, and with the non-stop rain keeping you forever damp. The owner let us use the stove and refrigerator in her garage, which was nice of her. There was also a... More
