This is an older property in a central location near the beautiful eastern coast of the Big Island. It offers the bare essentials. There is a good restaurant on the neighboring property and beautiful views of the surrounding hills from the rooms.

The location of this place is great if you want to stay in Waimea a couple of days, but it is DIRTY! It's an old, tired property. The lights in the room were so dim that we could barely see. When we opened the drapes, we saw that the room was dirty, especially the bathtub. If they would clean this...

Very convenient location in town, it is an older hotel with chickens on property that will crow at all hours but, it does add to the small town country charm. Daily housekeeping could be improved. At LEAST take the trash out on a daily basis if nothing else like making the bed or changing towels are done. That will help...

The staff was very professional and made sure my stay was pleasant, but TripAdvisor messed up my rate per day and as I was charged more than what TripAdvisor had quoted me. I had to talk to the Castle Waimea Country Lodge staff to get my issue settled while TripAdvisor continued to ask me for my credit card statements before...

The location is very convenient. It is within walking distance of the kids park. Also walking distance of the shopping center and hospital and St. James thrift store. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the beds are very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a board. I also suffered allergies while in the room with a constant runny nose until...

You are staying at this place because it is cheap so do not expect 5 stars. The rooms are old and need a makeover, many things are worn and cracked. In the cold, rainy winter months there is no heat to bundle up. Mini fridge but no coffee maker etc. The staff were really nice and great. They will help...

Reservation made on line. We had a late arrival but we called ahead to inform them. When we arrived, we called the number on the office door and she told us our room number. The door was open with key in the room. No problem. We are "no frills" people and this motel is just that. Clean bed, towels. Only...

Came back from work two nights in a row to no hot water, which I consider a basic function of a hotel. They said they were aware of that problem, but did nothing to resolve it. The Room smells like smokers were in there. The kitchenette floor was not clean, stray hair on floor. Too bad because it is centrally...

The staff was nice and pleasant to deal with. The room we stayed in had 2 queen size beds and a mini fridge. The room was outdated and could use a major makeover. When I went to shower that night the towels were stained & even though it was probably washed, I couldn't use it. It looked like there was...

This inn, in the small town of Waimea, is centrally located near the town’s crossroads. It is located far enough from the road to escape traffic noise, but you can walk to the grocery store or a restaurant in less than 5 minutes. But we always ate breakfast in and often packed a lunch. The kitchenette is well-stocked with plates,...
