The Palms Cliff-House is a large house with rooms poised on a cliff a hundred feet above the ocean. The breakfast lanai overlooks the bay, the cliffs, the forests. This side of the Big Island is mostly black lava cliffs and forests, rain clouds and waterfalls. The setting of the house is beautiful. Despite being famed for the rain, we...

Rooms are large, with nice outdoor sitting areas...all have stunning ocean views. Charming Victorian design with tons of antiques and Hawaiiana to peruse. Hosts are lovely people and provide a full breakfast featuring local ingredients. Room 1 featured a spa tub, fireplace, king bed, safe, mini fridge, a cooler you could borrow, and TV with DVD player, and fresh flowers....

We stayed two nights June 3rd and 4th. The Inn is magnificent and setup in an environment that is a delight for the eyes. The ocean view is simply fantastic. The room was huge with a nice king size bed and terrace. Breakfast on the covered patio overlooking the Pacific is an experience not to be missed and the menu,...

We stayed in the Hilo Honoli'i Hale studio in June. This property is managed by Palms Cliff House. It was a nice 3 day stay and the owners are very gracious and welcoming. The studio was well appointed and had everything needed for a nice stay. The room and bath were spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was cute and...

We stayed at wonderful resorts on both Kauai and Hawaii, and they were great, but this b&b provided us with a different experience on the "quiet" side of Hawaii. Great room, sunrise and coffee on the patio, a very good breakfast on the lanai, and beautiful views of the ocean. No beach, no pool, just quiet luxury, lovely grounds and...

My brother and I and our wives stayed three nights at the Palms Cliff House this week. We arrived after dark and awoke to a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Yes, there is an annoying rooster next door and there are tree frogs right outside. If you are looking for a spa, swimming pool and hot tub and massage,...

We loved our stay at the Palms Cliff. It lives up to its name with lovely grounds full of palms overlooking the ocean. Rooms were fab! Breakfasts were fab! Central location on the east coast of the Big Island made it easy to locate volcanoes,It is so much more low key than Waikiki or Maui. Some of the best sites...

We retreated to The Palms Cliff House Inn for two days and nights after a week on the side of the island, where my wife was teaching at a workshop. We arrived just after 5 pm... the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the view is stunning! We recommend staying on the second floor for the best views from your room...

After searching for an alternative to the downtown Hilo accommodations, I thought this little 8 room b&b looked to be just the thing. I found this beautiful inn to be just as pictured on the site. A very picturesque property that was quiet and tranquil. I booked 6 nights here and found the rates to be a great value compared...
