We stayed with Jacqueline in her B&B just outside of Waipio (about 4 miles on the road to the Lookout), and enjoyed the stay. You should be aware that Waipio is on the wet side of the island and in July it's both hot and humid. There is no air conditioning, which is typical due to the high cost of...

Waipio Wayside is an absolute must for couples travelling around the top of Hawai'i island. The location is perfect, near the Waipio Valley and other sightseeing spots and easily accessible. Jacqueline is a most welcoming host, and from the minute you walk in, it's obvious she has worked hard to give her guests a great experience. Our room was spotlessly...

From the moment you step out of your car and hear the bamboo plants making their own music, the Waipio Wayside B & B starts calming your soul. Located right down the road are breathtaking views of the lush and historic Waipio Valley. Wake ever morning to a scrumptious breakfast of fresh organic fruit, locally made jams and delicious french...

2 nights were not enough ! The owner-hostess was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, the place was charming and clean. The only reason this is 4 instead of 5 is because I chose the Moon room (budget room) for which the private bathroom is not attached, so you don't feel as comfortable going in the night if...

Waipio Wayside B&B was clean, comfortable, interesting, and affordable. Jacqueline's organic breakfasts were delicious. And best of all Jacqueline is a wonderful host. She is interesting to talk to, and offered helpful advice about planning my stay on The Big Island. I just didn't stay long enough, but know where I want to go back to.

We stayed in Jacqueline's charming B & B for just one night but wish it was for longer. Our room was the Chinese Room but all of them looked great. It was very close to the Waipio Valley and the charming town of Honokaa. Jacqueline's breakfast was a real treat and the best we had in Hawaii. Her information about...

I have been meaning to write a review of Waipio Wayside B & B since our return, but have taken my time, as we have been busy, and I did not want to give it short shrift. We were amazed by this lovely place! From the moment we stepped out of the car and onto Jacqueline's property, we knew our...

Daphne Aloha, Thank you so much. It was a pleasure to have you both stay with us. The Chinese room is my favorite and I am so happy to be able to share the amazing antiques and views with guests. The TWG tea is also my favorite - the best tea I have ever tasted. I hope to be able...

This was a great find for our stay on the Honokaa coast next to the Waipio valley. Very charming home with first class amenities and comfort. Great breakfast! Jackie was a wealth of information and provided us with many different options to enjoy our 10 days on the big island. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Noel Aloha, It was great fun having you and your friends stay with Sweety and I. How lucky that you could all travel together. What a fun adventure. And a great idea that you each could choose a different location for lodging. I look forward to welcoming you back hopefully in the not so distant future. Safe travels, Jacqueline

This b&b has large rooms where guests feel at home. It would get 5 stars no doubt for anybody who likes breakfast conversations with strangers. That is not us. But sitting in the garden gazebo listening to tree frogs was really nice. And you are close to Waipi'o. Definitely would come back here again.

After a week in Kona we spent three lovely days at the Waipio Wayside B&B. We enjoyed the extravagant breakfasts prepared by Jacqueline with fruit from her wonderful garden and homemade and local treats. We had omelets one day and pancakes another. We loved the tropical contrast to the desert of the Kona coast and the chance to explore the...
