The rooms were a little old, but the property itself is spectacular. We had a room facing the waterfall. We also hiked the trail to the river below. I loved the breakfast, and casual feel of the common areas. It is a little bit of a drive to get there, but it's worth it.

The property at the Inn was everything you could have wanted. Beautiful. Serene. If they could somehow include a black sand beach on the property, you wouldn't need to go anywhere else in Hawaii. The hiking trails are perfect for an early morning stroll or an afternoon dip in the pond at the base of the falls (it is cold...

My wife and I chose the inn based on other reviewers and they could not have led us to a more amazing location for our honeymoon. Without giving away too much of the mystique of the location, ill just say that the drive from hilo into their property was astounding. In regards to the facilities, it was impeccable. Completely spotless,...

A beautiful setting at a very reasonable price. This Inn has it all -- location, service, wonderful rooms, a great breakfast, hiking trails, swimming. You could spend a week here without ever leaving the grounds.

This is a beautiful hideaway just minutes above Hilo. Great rooms, great service, delicious food and a private waterfall that is not to be missed! I read reviews complaining about the difficulty in finding the inn, but my GPS took me right to it and even if I hadn't had a GPS, every turn in the road had signs pointing...

My boyfriend and stayed here while we were visiting the Hilo side of Big Island and doing the volcano and national park walks. Although not in the centre of Hilo (about 10min drive from town) this place was perfect! Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed with its own sheltered courtyard which walked out to look onto the amazing...

The drive up the mountain to get to the Inn makes you wonder where in the world is this place. Once there, you realize you are surrounded by the nature and beauty of Hawaii. The sounds and view of a great waterfall make this a truly unique experience. Our room was comfortable and had a great view of the grounds...

My husband, my two teen aged sons and I stayed our last two nights of our busy Oahu/Big Island Hawaiian vacation at Kulaniapia Falls and it was truly a PERFECT ending to our trip! The drive up to the inn was a beautiful, secluded drive with tropical fruit trees and macadamia groves. Arriving was like stepping into a different world...I...

We had a wonderful stay at this Inn for two nights in the Maile room. Views were incredible, breakfast was delicious, room was clean, staff was friendly. We swam in the waterfall pool--it was like having our own waterfall! Would definitely recommend!

We sure liked everything about Inn at Kulaniapia Falls , from the Waterfalls right next to our room The bamboo gardens were so awesome . Also some of the friendliest service, I have ever had. It does take a short ride to get here , but so worth it . We really enjoyed being away from, it all. Can't wait...
