We did a quick overnight here to facilitate a longer visit to the volcanoes without having to schlep back to Kona. Lovely spot, charming inn and friendly folks. The food and surroundings are pleasant, but it's really all about the location. Sad we only did one night!

This is an outstanding place, I stayed in the Jade cottage which is a hut with a very nice balcony. The waterfall is just right next to the inn! You can hear the soothing sound of the fall and its so relaxing.

We stayed in the lovely Jade cottage, it's a (small) private hut, with a cute lanai (balcony) with a waterfall view and the amazing sound of the fall and the frogs was so relaxing and really felt like we were in the jungle, which when you wake up in this lush green space you realise you are. The fact that...

This is an outstanding B & B. The location is WONDERFUL! The staff is GREAT! It is quiet and relaxing. This is a short drive from Hilo, but you feel as if you are hours away! This is a must stay location if you are in the Hilo area. If you don't, you are missing out. Thanks to the owners...

So, if you want to got to a resort and never "feel" Hawaii, do so. On the other hand, if you want to have a tranquil, comfortable, tropical, and magical experience, come to the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls. The inn is about 10 to 15 minutes above Hilo--you drive a paved road through macadamia orchards and coffee farms--and end up...

We stayed in the Orchid room in the Harmony House for two nights. The rooms was very pretty with nice hardwood floors and a private bathroom. The property itself was also very beautiful with a nice trail through the bamboo gardens and around to the waterfall. Lara was very pleasant along with the rest of the staff we interacted with...

We spent three nights here to explore Hilo and the surrounding area, you really do need your own transport as you are 20 minutes away from Hilo by car up a private driveway. The location is lovely for those who like to escape the urban confines of town. Boasting its own waterfall The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls is a wonderful...

Most recommendations when visiting the big island was to split your time between Hilo and Kona so I reserved 4 nights at the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls for our Hilo side. Stayed in the Harmony House and Hibicus room, private covered patio and four steps outside patio is a great view of the falls . Breakfast was fine and the...

This bed and breakfast is a breathtaking romantic getaway hidden in lush Hilo. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to avoid congested areas, far enough away from the city but with plenty to do on the 22 acre property. The sounds of the waterfall calm you to sleep and breakfast is delicious with a gorgeous view...

This B&B (with our "own" waterfall!) was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip to the Big Island. The pictures don't do this place justice. It is truly a hidden gem. We could not believe our eyes when we arrived at the waterfall after a 5 minute hike from our room. We went two times during our one-night...
