Very polite and professional reception. Casual and relaxed atmosphere, but professional. Deluxe suite was very nice...nothing extravagant, but very comfortable with nice patio, back yard area, immediate parking...felt like I was in my own little home...very clean and everything in good working order. Very short walk to ocean/beach. Short drive to town, or even walk if you are energetic. I...

There is limited Budget accommodation in Hawaii and this place is what Hawaii could do with having more of. It is well organised and welcoming to independent Travellers whether it be camping in the pleasant garden or staying in a shared room - 2 bed dorm. Good security, spotlessly clean, good wifi, good bathrooms, helpful staff and a great TV...

Aloha and mahalo nui for you review! We are happy that you enjoyed not only your stay but also took advantage of our discounted guest rate for our Mauna Kea Sunset & Stargazing Tour! As a "no-frills" lodge, we are happy to still provide plenty of entertainment and activities. We apologize if some things were not up to expectations, but...

The staffs are welcoming. We took their Volcano and Stargazing tour as well which is RECOMMENDED. The only cons is that there is no food in the stargazing tour. If there is food offered I believe it would make the experience perfect. And.. one more thing! If you book a room and take volcano & stargazing tour altogether, you will...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! It is wonderful to hear you joined us on our adventures to Volcanoes National Park and up Mauna Kea! For any of our tours, we do not advertise any provided meals. We always recommend that our guests bring with them snacks and water, just in case! However, despite that,...

If you don't have a car this is not the place to stay no stores or restaurants within a mile radius.. Quiet and clean, but no frills. Suite would be good for a family with microwave, refrigerator, and stove with cooking supplies. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Mahalo for your review! As advertised, we are a "no-frills" lodge. We are happy to provide the necessities for visitors to our beautiful island, including well informed staff to help you get great ideas for adventuring during the day! While it is a little bit of a walk, or a short car ride to get into town, we love our...

We had Lauren as our driver and guide. Fortunately, our group of 12 all met at the lodge so there was no shuttling needed. We just loaded and headed out. First stop was rainbow falls. A great place to get into mood. This was also a great place to use the restroom before heading to the visitors Centre. Appreciably, we...

It fits the bill. I wanted somewhere cheap to lay my head at night and for $30 I got that and a lot more. I arrived a little later in the evening and moved into my shared dorm room with two beds. The other lodger was quiet and seemed to be staying there a bit longer. My room was adjacent...

Our group of four stayed here following a recommendation from a friend and because we wanted to do some of the adventure tours Arnott's offers. It was a really good choice, although our last-minute decision to hire a car while staying in Hilo was a very good one. On the map it looked like we could have got into Hilo...

We were camping on the Island and Arnotts provided a great location for our tent within a short walking distance to 2 nice beaches. We have access to showers, laundry, lounge area and internet. Definitely worth while.

“The suite in which we had a semi-private room had tile floor throughout so sound travelled very efficiently. If there had been others staying in the suite I probably would have used earplugs just in case others were up and about when I was sleeping, but they weren't necessary when it was only us. The bed was a bit soft, but in good condition.”
