Yes the hotel is local. Yes the hotel is clean. Yes the service is good. However the one thing that I expect is a room where I can't hear the conversations of my neighbours. At the Seaside I heard everything being said and being watched by the people in rooms around me. This went on well past midnight. You also...

We have stayed here and at the Seaside in Kona several times. It is clean with basic amenities and friendly local staff. The hotel is privately owned and had been in business for many successful years. It is relatively inexpensive and frequented by locals and some tour groups. Not fancy. Small swimming pool. Basic meals available on the premises. Rooms...

In my mind if I'm going to Hawaii then I want to stay as Hawaiian as possible. For me that means great view and very tropical. We were landing 9PM and leaving town the next morning for Volcano so we just wanted clean comfortable and somewhat cheap. This was perfect for that. I would stay again if we were wanting...

Hotel was old and very outdated. Room was clean. Wifi and Parking was free of charge. Fridge and AC in the room. Service was efficient. Summary: good for one or two nights. Too expensive compared to the overall experience.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the airport because we had an early flight. The staff was very nice as we arrived 2 hours earlier than the checkin time and the room was ready. The room was simple, we had 3 single beds. The bathroom was small but with functional. Everything was clean, but we had a...

From beginning to end the stay was friendly, helpful, clean, quiet, and I felt at home and embraced by the aloha spirit. The location is beautiful, lush, and convenient. The price was very affordable. The Coconut Grill is the in house restaurant. It is Great. We ate there every meal we could. I will definitely stay here again.

Room was clean but needed serious updating. If you are on a tight budget and just need a clean room this is the place for you. Has a nice pool and nice grounds . Resturant has good prices and food but customer service is very bad. and they close at 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends so after those...

Older family run hotel. Very, very clean. Staff cleaning high and low all day, every day. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Fruit flavored water in lobby. Microwave oven locked but available for use with key. Nice pool and laundry facilities. Nice amenities in bathroom. Refrigerators in room. Mattress was very thin and not too comfortable. Good location near airport, restaurants...

After seeing the hotel ranked a 2 we were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely, clean, well located hotel with a very helpful staff. It was the only hotel that had rooms available when we decided to leave Kona and get away from the crowds attending the iron man race and was a good jumping off spot to head to...

I've stayed here several times and would recommend it for anybody looking for a room in Hilo. It's an older vintage 60's hotel with an attached restaurant. The rooms aren't anything special, but they're clean and the staff are friendly. There are very pretty tropical plantings in a courtyard area. Kids will love koi ponds outside. We ate at the...
