Wow, this place is a real slice of heaven!! The gardens are wonderful packed full of beautiful plants and vegetables gardens, the veggies are served in the breakfasts or given to guests who would like to make a salad or have a snack. The views are like something out of a travel magazine. The staff, well they make the place...

If you are heading to the Big Island and don't want to stay at a large, impersonal resort but want a taste of real Hawaii, then this is the place to go. Kealakekua Bay B & B is spectacularly located a short walk from the Bay itself, and the view from the property is irresistible. I could have sat on...

Everything about Kealakekua Bay Bed and Breakfast is charming, warm, beautiful, and quite special. The house, itself, is marvelously decorated in the simplest and most tasteful way. It is spacious, welcoming, and comfortable. The grounds are landscaped so that native trees and flowers blend seamlessly with a beautifully landscaped garden. And the view is beyond words. I never tired of...

This review is well overdue, as we stayed at Kealakekua back in March of this year. We were redirected to this B and B at the last minute, following a water damage issue that forced us from our originally planned stay at another B and B up the street -- as it turns out, we couldn't be happier! The property...

This was by far the best experience I have ever had. I cant say enough about how wonderful Emily was. She made my stay so welcoming and wonderful. This is a place that I will continue to come and stay every year, I am so glad that I discovered it.

This is as lovely and peaceful as Hawaii can get. The views are amazing, the grounds are amazing, Emily is amazing. We especially enjoyed the gardens. There's a small beach down the road that doesn't get great reviews in any of the books, yet it's perfect because there are just a few sweet people there. The snorkeling is simple there...

Emily is an amazing innkeeper, we had a wonderful time. Every view from the house is just incredible, it's ~10-15 minutes from Captain cook, right near several coffee tasting places and just up the street from the kayak launch into Kealakekua bay (not far from Place of refuge national monument). On the one day we had to get moving in...

If you love to vacation away from the resorts, this is the inn for you. It is a beautifully maintained Bed and Breakfast which offers views, gardens and tranquility. Emily, our host, served delicious breakfasts on an open air veranda overlooking the bay. We stayed in the Ali'i suite which is true luxury. With a view of the bay, a...

This gorgeous B&B is everything that it promises. The rooms are clean and comfortable with easy access to a huge lawn that looks out over Kealakekua Bay. Emily is very nice (even when you show up unannounced several hours early and interrupt an important conference call she's on!) and her breakfasts on the deck are the perfect way to start...

Where do I start? This was THE best B&B I have ever stayed at. The view of the bay was incredible. The distance from the beach and kayaking was almost non-existent. The breakfasts included fresh fruit from the B&B garden - it was out of this world tasting. In the morning, binoculars are placed on the breakfast table on the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kealakekua Bay Bed & Breakfast and our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage are comfortable, open-air Mediterranean/Polynesian-style villas overlooking the pristine waters of Kealakekua Bay on the sunny South Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as being gently cradled behind by the majestic Pali (cliffs). Located in the heart of Kona's lush coffee country, this five-acre tropical estate is a peaceful and romantic haven, set amongst beautiful park-like gardens of fragrant flowers, colorful plants, stunning trees, and singing birds. We are only a five-minute walk from the ocean, snorkeling, and kayaking; also conveniently located with a ten-minute drive to stores and restaurants of our small mauka (up-country) communities of historical Kealakekua and Captain Cook – where the people still live a slower paced life of days gone by, as well as some of the best restaurants on the island! Our Bed and Breakfast provides our visitors with a lovingly prepared breakfast featuring local produce, while our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage does not include breakfast, it does allows our guests the convenience of a fully appointed vacation rental. ... more   less
