We have now stayed at South Kona Hideaway twice. It was just as comfortable and nice as the first time! The property is very quiet and the house is well decorated with a comfortable bed, couch and chairs. There are several friendly animals on the property too (cats, chickens, dogs), which makes it more fun. Breakfast was delicious - fresh...

Really enjoyed our short visit here, wish we could have stayed longer! Short drive to beach where you can snorkel with turtles and lots of interesting fish. Thanks for the use of the snorkel gear - much appreciated! Loved the home cooked muffins and fresh produce from the gardens.

If you are looking for a great location, wonderful hosts, homegrown Kona coffee, daily muffins infused with local fruit, cannonball avocados, and a clean, comfortable and spacious suite, this is the place for you. Easy to find from the Kona airport (26 miles south), right up the hill from: the famous Captain Cook Monument, spinner dolphins and wonderful snorkeling; the...

We had a fabulous stay at the South Kona Hideaway! We stayed in the lower unit, with cheerful colors and decorations, and an extremely comfortable bed. Every small detail had been thought of, from a well stocked kitchen to night lights. Keri and Tina were lovely, warm and welcoming, very helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and we can state without hesitation,...

This was our best rental on a 3 week trip to Hawaii. We stayed in the "Lookout". The apartment has a living room/kitchen, bedroom (both with ocean views) and a nice bathroom. The bed is large and extremely comfortable. The view from the Lookout is fantastic - great sunsets. The property is beautiful and colourful with lots of flowers, fruits...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early October. Tina and Keri were very welcoming. We were in the lower suite which is very funky and spread out. The bed was the very best we have had at any hotel, condo or B & B. Tina served up her fabulous large muffins and fruit right from their...

I am so glad that the Sleep Number beds made your stay enjoyable. We have spent too many vacations on bad beds, so invested in good ones for our guests. Hope you see you again. Mahalo

We stayed for a week at the South Kona Hideaway. It was a dream! Quiet in the mornings/evenings, beautiful views. The rental was very spacious for the two of us, with a nice balcony and comfortable bed. The managers were extremely friendly, and we got fresh fruit and homemade baked goods every day. Anything we needed, they were always there...

My wife and I have stayed at SKH and it is a perfect place for relaxation, going to beaches, seeing the big island without being caught up in the hubbub of Kailua itself. Close enough to Kailua, airport, and shopping but out in the country enough to feel relaxed and away from the congestion. A number of great beaches are...

First of all, the location, property and hosts, Tina & Keri, reflect "the true spirit of Aloha" on the Big Island. Away from all the touristy hustle & bustle of Kailua-Kona, but super conveniently just off Rte 11(Belt Road) which will take you anywhere you want to go! It only took me 1.5 hours to drive to either Hawi, up...

SKH is the perfect establishment. The two apartment units are immaculate in appropriately lush surroundings. Staying in the South Kona district is preferable to the North district with its resorts, condos and shopping centers. The South is authentic and transporting; it's where the locals live. Shops and cafes are family operated except for one McDonalds. Highly, highly recommended.
