Everything was ok. Breakfast was ok. They only had muffins & cereal. The hallway stinks like🤮 They had NO HOT WATER. I talked to the lady in the front desk and said to let ir ran for 5 min which I did & hot water never came out 😪
The worst hotel state ever. When we called to see what time to start checking in they had told us that it was at 1:00p.m. And when we went there to check in the room wasn't even cleaned. The housekeepers were there since 8:00a.m. & not one freaking room was cleaned. They told us an hour they will have the room done. One hour later I called them and the room still wasn't even done another 30-40 minutes and it'll be done. When I called after 50 minutes they just got into the room. We finally checked in around 3:30p.m. The hotel is so ran down it from mold in the pool area, there isn't a hot tub like the pictures show. I'm a retired head housekeeper and they was the worst place ever. I took pictures of this place and I've also sent it to the corporate office to show them how bad this place is. You don't get much for breakfast but bagels, and if your lucky you'll have some muffins that are gluten free dairy free and nut free. They are old and stale and we weren't happy with this stay. If you end up staying there look at the pool area it has a look on there that is a keypad on the door and make sure you look at the mold & cracks in all over the ceiling, mold in the windowsills and they always fill up the pool whenever someone is done with the pool. Pool is uneven and you really have to be careful what you do in there. Children have to be supervised that is under the age of 18 not 14 they raise the age themselves. Make sure you to take a shower before you go to the pool it posted outside the door before you go in. For your showers in the bathrooms if you are over 6 foot tall like my oldest child and husband you have to duck down to shower. And the tubs drain very slowly. We've NEVER EVER experience this bad of a place before.…
Nice, friendly staff. Room ok. Hard beds. Terrible breakfast. Didn't use it, but pool looked nice! Seemed safe. Easy to find. Would only stay again if Holiday Inn Express was sold out. Like it much better.
My wife and I stayed here for TWO nights in mid Sept-for a State Commission Meeting! The rooms were UNCONTROLLABLY HOT-so we slept with our Windows open ( next door is a grocery store, that opened about 5 AM, and people were parking under our window in the early morning darkness!) Even with the WINDOWS OPEN, it was STILL UNBEARABLY WARM! When we asked the Desk Staff about the unbearable warm conditions, they all were DUMFOUNDED, and blamed it on the heating system! The so called “lobby breakfast” consisted of Toast, small muffins, and coffee, and most of that was gone by 7am! Parking was lousy, and all the doorways were filled with working men who were SMOKING at each entrance we came in through!
If you're planning to spend the night in Torrington after visiting Fort Laramie I surely recommend you to choose Americas Best Value Inn. We were wonderfully welcomed by Ms. Timi and hotel standards are the usual ones from any average Americas Best Value (so they're pretty good indeed as me and my boyfriend experienced in a previous trip in the US in 2016). We were assigned a room on the grocery store side (which is opposite the railway) and at night we didn't hear any noise at all. Room was clean and spacious and our complimentary breakfast included many different items plus juice and coffee. Staff is very kind and proactive. Definitely recommended!
Pros: Super nice staff, very helpful! Nice room very clean! Restaurants within walking distance! Typical continental breakfast with fresh bagels! Cons: Trains come by all night long! Pro tip: Get a room on the opposite side of the building from the train tracks and you will be fine!!
While the room was pretty standard, it was clean and the staff friendly. Originally we were going to stay 2 nights, but a snow was coming and we had to get back to Denver to catch our flight. We couldn't risk getting trapped 4 hours away. I highly recommend America's Best Value Inn.
Perfect location for my business trip.Very nice people.Variety of room sizes.I had a 2 bed with refrigerator and microwave for a very reseasonable price. Very comfortable, clean.Had a good night sleep. Continental breakfast:Hard boiled eggs, cereal, danish, muffins etc. Plus there are a few smoking rooms available. Restraunts, stores near.Major hgwy to sightsee or travel on.Wonderful small town to visit. Easy parking for R.V.s,campers and semi drivers.
We arrived at 8 pm, quick check in and found we had 2 double beds, in a small room comfy room. It was very clean, had a pretty comfy bed, and 4 pretty firm pillows that gave me a sore neck by morning. Nice bedding. Bathroom was spotless, lots of towels and best of all...HOOKS!!! Such a rarity in most hotels. They had a big over the door one, and then a double hook next to tub. I was in heaven to be able to hang my stuff. We did hear the nearby trains thru the nite, but I kinda like them. Breakfast was not served till 7am , but we were able to get coffee by 6:30am. Very nice selection of muffins, bagels, hard boiled egg, cereal and juice. We really appreciated it.
We stayed here on a trip between Denver and Rapid City. The room was average for this type of motel, and the front desk girls were friendly and helpful. They recommended a couple places for dinner that were within easy walking distance, so we gave one of them a try. Although the train tracks were within yards of the hotel, I don't remember hearing the train after bedtime - maybe twice the whole time we were there. The next morning we walked across the tracks again over to the old main street and ordered some stuff from a print shop. While waiting for that we walked around and found a hairdresser with an opening and my husband got a haircut. We picked up our print order and STILL checked out on time. Gotta love small towns, and this hotel was a perfect fit for us on this trip. Breakfast was good too, nice selection. Bed was comfortable, we'd stay again when passing through. They also have parking for big rigs.…
