I have been to this motel a number of times over the years... and do not care to try anything else in Thermopolis. I've written a couple of reviews over the years too, and just want people to know that it is still a very good place to stay. First of all, I REALLY appreciate the double window in the...

The owner is very friendly and the room was wonderful. It felt cozy and is pet friendly. Great prices. They have wifi, cable, mini fridge, and a microwave. Any time I come thru I'm staying here. Nothing but good things to say about this motel!

We pulled in late after a day on the road. The lady at the office was very friendly and helpful. She recommended two great places to eat that only a local would know. The room was very clean and quiet. We would stay there again.

Great place like others have said. Very quiet and comfortable rooms, even though outside doesn't look great, the staff and room were great. We traveled through area in way to Yosemite, worth a vividly to the hot springs too!

They say, "don't judge a book by its cover," and that would be true for the El Rancho Motel. It's set back from the highway on a gravel parking lot, and looks like a dumpy, small town motel. But, the rooms are very nice - big bed, sofa, closet and TV. Also, wifi. It was very comfortable and quiet. Susan,...

Small family-owned motel. Owner was very kind and helpful. Room recently redone and is lovely. Linens were wonderful and much cozier than the usual starchy scratchy ones at a hotel. Bed very comfy and great pillows. No hair dryer, coffee pot, or breakfast. Be warned: the parking lot is gravel and extremely dusty. Location is safe but looks sketchy.

A high degree of old school, western motel charm, but not much beyond that. Wafer thin walls that left me listening to the folks next door and outside as they drank, smoke, and hacked up a lung all night. With different neighbors, I might have had a very different, possibly pleasant experience. Rooms and linens haven't been updated since Spiro...

My four kids and I snuck away to Thermophilous for the weekend and this was the only hotel in town that was willing to keep us together in one room. The owner Susan actually rearranged a room for all five of us the same day of my spur of the moment reservation. My room #12 was very clean and cozy....

Having stayed at four other hotels in Thermopolis, without doubt El Rancho is the most comfortable place to stay, in my experience. My room was clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. A sofa, armchair, desk, fridge, and microwave made it homey. It's near enough to the main street in town but far enough not to get road noise. The owner is...

Sent the hubby to this hotel while he was meeting someone on a drilling job. Hotel was very clean and such a fantastic price. The decor was outdated, but in great shape. Will stay there again in a heart beat.
