The hotel is attached to the Wind River casino. The room was surprisingly large and comfortable. The bathroom toiletries were more than expected at a hotel with such a reasonable rate. The front desk staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Wind River Casino Hotel on June 28, 2021. The stay here was one of the best that we have ever had at a casino hotel. The price of the room was excellent; a great value. The room was large; the bathroom toiletries were very nice; and the variety of K-cup coffees and teas were a nice touch. The room seemed to be very clean. We played on the slots for maybe a couple of hours. The machines didn't just take and take our money, like most do at different casinos. We were able to really enjoy the games. And, in the end, we walked away with money! Enough to pay for our gas for a few more days of our trip. The staff was VERY serious about the cleanliness of the casino. Someone was cleaning machines the whole time we were there. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. And, we had a wonderful time in the casino. If we didn't live so far away, we would be repeat customers for sure!

Had I reviewed this hotel based on my experience checking in, it would have been poor. However, my room was very nice and my experience with all hotel staff after check in was very pleasant. The day before I arrived, I called to confirm my reservation. A woman answered the phone and confirmed my reservation for six nights but was very curt and seemed annoyed that I disturbed her with my call. After flying cross county on three flights from Florida to Casper, Wyoming, I had to drive two hours from Casper to the hotel in Riverton. I arrived at 4:00 p.m. central time which is the check in time posted at hotel. I told the woman at the front desk I was checking in and she asked my name. She was very curt and I recognized her voice from my phone call the day before. She said my room was not ready. I asked when it would be. She said she had no idea because they only had two girls to clean 70 rooms. I said I had just traveled from Florida starting at 4:30 am eastern time and needed a room. She said no king rooms were available. I said I do not need a king room, just a room consistent with my reservation made over a month earlier and confirmed by phone. She started looking at the computer and snapped give me your credit card. She then gave me a room with two queen beds. The room was very nice. Her demeanor was cold, surly and she acted like she did not want to be there. Once settled in, realized there was very little toilet tissue in the room. I went down to the front desk the next morning not knowing how my request for an essential item would be met. In total contrast, the young lady working the front desk was effusively friendly and helpful. I had to leave a day early because of a change in my flights back and the same young lady graciously helped me and a gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice. I would stay at the hotel again but hope not to have to deal with the cold, annoyed woman who worked the front desk on the weekend afternoons.

We noticed they charged us an extra $200 for a "cleaning fee" so we call and ask them why they charged us for a cleaning fee when we didn't dirty the room at all. They said they drug tested the room and it came back positive for cannabis?? And they also said we smoked in the room when we DID NOT and we sure didn't use drugs in there! All they could says is "I have no control over what the house keepers do" Like really?? So they accused us of bring drug addicts AND charged us a $200 cleaning fee. Would not recommend! Make sure to check your bank account after you leave if you do stay there! I'm still waiting for a call from the manager. Also, they said the room tested positive for cannabis when the test result looks like it says its positive for PCP?? I don't understand

From entering the bright inviting lobby to the front desk greeting you're welcomed. There's a beverage station in lobby,a couple of work stations, setting area and a small Aprapho museum.

Our room was a large double queen. There was a comfortable chair and loveseat. Fridge and microwave. The bathroom had plenty of vanity space, quality linens . A Keurig coffee maker was there with Green Mountain products.

Our room was 80.00 and was worth far more.

One other thing the bed actually had a fitted sheet instead of just a flat lying on top of mattress which seems to be the norm in most other hotels.

Needed to get out of Billings and took the husband and dogs to the casino for the night. Nice Sat drive along Wind River before snow makes this trip impossible. Great dog room. We got the King and it had wood floors and room in the sitting area for mutts. Easy access (although card reader not working on the side door) to a huge outside area for dogs with potty bags. Great access to casino and we played roulette. The restaurant on the property is ok but very similar to the other restaurants in town. Hubby had the prime rib sandwich and it was really prime rib.

Stayed in a nice one bedroom suite for only $140. Just as nice as a Marriott or Hilton hotel suite. Joined the rewards club and got 10% off. Great room. Got take out from the hotel restaurant. It was good. Except for the person at the casino rewards desk most of the people I dealt with acted like they did not want to be there.

Read that most of the employees are members of the tribe.

Do not get it. They should be happy people stop there and spend money there

Really out in the middle of nowhere but a good stop between South Dakota and Utah.

Gets an average because you have to walk into the casino and then walk about 50 yards to check in at the hotel. I think it is a virus thing because the hotel entrance was closed. You also have to wear masks inside which is fine with me.
Also, no beer or wine sold or allowed. Don't get it, they have a big tobacco store but no beer or wine allowed.

Casino was tight as far as winning but as I always tell my wife. It is a casino. Do not expect to win.

This place is a hotel/casino. Hotel is average quality, very clean. I was a little bothered when the bathroom was provided one small bar of soap. So , we constantly switched the bar from sink to shower. ......Casino is an Indian Casino with Indian rules, but what I saw done by the security people was totally illegal. There were three guys playing on the table next to me with an obvious alcohol smell on their breaths.....Two security members came over an stood and watched them play for a while. But when one of them won a chunk of cash, the security guys grabbed they winnings and told them that they can't play "drunk" and would have to leave. Why stank there and wait till they won? I assume that is the plan from the very first. I wonder what would happen, for someone like me , when I won, since I don't drink at all. I did not stick around to find out. Stay away from this place.

We recommend this hotel. My wife, a fastidious housekeeper, found it very acceptable. Upon entry into any motel room, she runs a Clorex disinfectant wipe across every horizontal surface we will likely come in contact with, including the bathroom floor. After completing that task, she inspected the business surface of the wipe and found it had not accumulated any dust or dirt particles, a remarkable event in a motel room. So, our room was quite clean. The bed was comfortable, the wi-fi worked and the small fridge worked well. We agree with the other commentators that the room was nicely appointed and pleasant.

We were there for a conference and not for the gambling. The casino was smoky, noisy, and typically tacky as most casinos are, but these elements did not seep into the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful for the most part.

The small 5 machine fitness center equipment worked smoothly and without squeaks or groans. I was very impressed with the elliptical I used twice. Someone else ran on a treadmill and it too functioned smoothly.

The outside hotel entrance is separated from the casino entrance by about 50 feet. Although the casino entrance has a big neon sign, the outside hotel entrance has no sign at all. So, like a moth drawn to a light, I entered through the casino entrance and wandered around for five minutes looking for a hotel registration desk. A customer service staffer pleasantly guided me out of the casino and to the hotel desk. So, look for the unsigned outside door to the right of the casino entrance if you want to enter the hotel and avoid being perplexed or momentarily lost in the casino maze.

Took us a bit to figure out where the entrance to the hotel was without going through the casino first (we had allergies to cigarette smoke so we were trying to avoid the casino). This hotel has nice rooms at a very reasonable rate. Get their rewards card at customer service and you will get a discount on your room rate. Nice finishes in the bathroom. Loveseat, mini frig and microwave are also features of a very spacious room. Data access via your cell phone can be problematic but this is easily solved by using their WIFI connection. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that until checkout. Asked twice for burned out light bulbs to be replaced and they never materialized. We had two rooms so we moved light bulbs from one room to the other. Five stars nonetheless due to the very nice rooms.

I reserved the room with a credit card but paid for it in cash. I don't think you can make an online reservation without a card, but I would call the hotel and ask.
