It's a close campground to Moose and Jackson Hole, and that's a huge plus. The staff was VERY friendly and the bathrooms were always clean. As for the sites, there wasn't a lot of privacy mostly because they sit in the middle of sagebrush fields. It's more of an RV campground, which didn't lend itself well to my tent and...

This year's visit to the b Gross Ventre campground in the Teton National Park was much like the previous several visits over the last 20 plus years. The campground was clean, the staff professional, and the scenery beautiful. This year there seemed to be fewer wild animals in the campground but there were some deer, a moose, and nearby several...

Staff was great. We arrived early and grabbed a site that had opened up. Only a few sites with electricity, most are dry sites. Rest rooms (no showers), are very 1960's national parkish. There is a great latte/sandwich shop about two miles up the road in Kelley. Love this place. Already planning our return trip.

The grounds are so large, they almost never sell out and if you avoid July you should have smaller crowds. The best thing is you may use it as a staging campground before zipping over to campgrounds closer to the mountains the next morning if desired. Or, just avoid the competition and enjoy that this one is closest to town...

For $25 we were squeezed into a crowded campground with no privacy. No one respected the quiet hours (loud trucks all night and early morning generators). Crying babies. Tents mixed in with dozens of RVs which absolutely ruined the peace and quiet with their loud generators and obstructed the views. The bathrooms were bad; many locks did not work, no...

We found this to be a great place to camp with kids prior to a backpacking trip. We arrived too late in the day to get into Jenny Lake. I was initially disappointed, but ultimately decided that the river offered nice variety, and we went over to Jenny lake the next morning. This is a big campground, and we found...

I've never driven almost 400 miles pulling a trailer with no idea where or if we'd have a place to camp! I had looked at a lot of places in and around Grand Teton National Park and this being an impromptu trip, there was really nothing available. So off we went towards the Tetons. I had read the Gros Ventre...

I stayed four nights in a tent only loop. The location is great for a base camp. Great access to Jackson, WY and Grand Tetons Park. The management was disappointingly lacking. Never saw a park employee except to register. Unregistered trucks pulled in to the tent only loop during the night and ran their generators all night. Crowded campground conditions...

We were slow making our camping reservations and got lucky. Gros ventre had an opening. It was dry camping but it was amazing. The sites are perfect for camping. The site we had was big enough that we had room to set up horse shoes and Dutch oven cook. They have picnic tables at every site. There are bathrooms. Because...

We enjoyed this campground very much. The sites were far enough apart to allow for a nice buffer of privacy. It is definitely rustic, with a rough picnic table set amongst the sagebrush. If rustic is not your goal, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for amazing views, possible wildlife, and close proximity to...

“We camped in the "A" loop and found it much less crowded and with the best views. Some loops allow generators, some are tent only.”
