Just traveling through Wyoming heading home to South Dakota, feeling a little tired behind the wheel so searched for a place to lay my head. This campground is small and family owned. Clean with nice bathrooms, showers and laundry and it’s pet friendly. I think I said “Perfect” when I drove in.
Arrived here midday, was helped right away & had my choice of campsites which was nice. Was very surprised at the bathroom, must be newly renovated. It was so clean!! Such a refreshing site compared to the other places I'd been this week. Utilized the laundry facilities which were in good working order & clean as well. Overall the campground is quiet but the noise from the highway may bother some. I had one of the sites closest to the entrance but it didn't phase me. Had a massive storm with hailey come through, sites got pretty muddy but dried out quick. Overall would recommend!!
Great, clean facility with friendly staff - but right on a highway with all night semi-truck traffic. Not pleasent sleep for tent campers - ideal for RVs. Great open view of the high plains - lovely sunset & sunrise.
Stayed at this great campground over Eclipse weekend 2017. Very clean facilities. Very friendly owners who answered plenty of questions. Campground has some trees and is pretty much flat which is great for tent camping. Lots of space to spread out and the campground was crowded this weekend to capacity. Just a short 2 mile drive to the town Lusk which has several decent food options and a great coffee shop. The owners had maps and drinks available and even offered to get people coffee on eclipse morning
We were passing through on way to South Dakota, needed to arrive and park RV after 11pm. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating, took time to give directions over phone, allowed us to arrive when it was convenient for us. Customer service goes a long way and this place took great care of us when we needed to get off the road late at night!. Good place to stop for a night.
Very friendly owners and employees. They have made major improvements to the park in the last year. We were a bit worried by all the oil field workers living there, but they stopped making noise before 10pm There is a train track off in the distance but it didn't wake me up over night. I would stay there again, mostly because of the friendly staff.
