Stayed 3 nights at the Covered Wagon because it was about $50 cheaper than the nice Best Western across the street. The day of our arrival the shower was slow to drain and I ended up showering in a bathtub full of water. I notified the front desk and they cleared the drain and even put up a new shower head while they were in there. The carpet looked old and needed cleaned badly. All the chrome fixtures were dirty with scum and hard water stains, and there was a cobweb with dead pill bugs on bathroom floor making me feel like the floor hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. I did not feel comfortable in the room but didn’t want to hassle with changing hotels.

We do remember fixing the drain in your room, and installing a new shower head for you. We do try our best to give the best customer service that we possibly can, and make sure that the rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each stay...especially the bathrooms. We are dedicated to continue doing this, and are sorry that your stay wasn't what your expectations were.

We had my niece's 1 year old with us and she loved the playground on site as well as the hot tub. Grounds are well kept, full breakfast included, friendly staff and the room was clean. Would stay here again.

all good - rooms, maintenance, staff - the special bit I'm happy to report is that these folks were totally helpful in recovering a lost receipt from a stay 8 months ago. The other motel I asked for help just laughed. Covered Wagon will treat you right and will respond quickly to any unusual needs.

We stopped by here for 1 night. It is winter time, and cold. When we went into the room the heat was turned off, and it was Cold in there. Took about 2 hours to warm up. Why couldn't they have had the heat on low???? It was very clean and tidy.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the honesty, and attempt to correct any problems we see. Generally, in the winter, we do turn on the heat in the rooms that are rented for the night, so it will be ready for our guests. Apparently, we missed one on this night. That is unusual for us, and we will double our efforts to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. I hope we get a chance to serve you better in the future. Again, thanks for the critique!

Super clean motel. Nice room, comfy beds and pillows. Nice breakfast area, breakfast was good. Cereals, waffles, biscuits and gravy, bagels, toast, coffee and juice. Check in was easy with the friendly owner. Nice play area for kids in the summer. I would stay there again.

Me and my family spent couple nights at the covered wagon and I must say we had a great time , the room was very clean and comfortable not to mention the breakfast it was lovely. I loved the heated pool and jacuzzi it’s really warm and relaxing, also great staff Sam and his family are really nice and made sure we were comfortable at all time. I definitely would stop there again.

We stayed 10/22. I've driven by this place so many times and just wondered about it. So this trip we stayed here at a reasonable rate too I might add. The new owner lives on site and told us the history about the property - wow it goes way back. There are pictures in the hallway by the breakfast area that show the progress through the ages. Our room had quilts on the bed (one was torn in the corner). The carpet was old and green but it was clean. The room was spotless actually. Yes, it's an older hotel but I couldn't find anything that I could complain about, nothing. The bed was nice, sheets were clean and towels were just fine. It was quiet too! We asked for a recommendation for pizza and the owner/manager sent us right down the street. Oh yea look at my other…

The new owners are fabulous we needed to book a wheelchair accessible room at the last minute for our hunting trip this year the accommodations were wonderful the breakfast in the morning was just great and Randy was awesome highly recommended we will definitely be back

Booked this room as we have family in Lusk that live in a very small home. We had my 5 month old grandson with us, so cleanliness is super important. I had read about the complimentary breakfast so I brought my own protein. Well, I didn’t need to worry or bring anything to eat! Upon check in I asked about the pool and Sam told me he keeps it a little on the cooler side because it’s been so hot out. When I told him my grandson was going to swim with his mama he offered to turn the temp down on the hot tub! Wow!! It was awesome! My daughter said it was like being in a therapy pool and my grandson slept very well after his swim. The room was super clean- even the bathroom! We stay at a lot of Hilton properties as we travel quite a bit and this hotel could easily be a Hilton…

After a long day on the road, we stumbled across this little gem. Staff was so friendly! Room was quiet, clean and comfy. Bed was soft. Fridge and microwave in room. Nice outside courtyard, basketball court & small playground. Dry sauna, hot tub. Pool was really cold. Breakfast dining room was large & clean. Good selection for breakfast including 4 kinds of cereal, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, waffles, toast, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee. We'd recommend this hotel, for sure!
