OK, I agree with other reviews that Guernsey is not a great town, but the Cobblestone Inn and Suites is indeed wonderful. We were in the area to go to historic sites like the Oregon Trail ruts and the original site of Ft. Laramie, and needed a place to stay. The entire facility is clean, well-built and finished, the breakfast was great, and the help people were genuinely friendly. We heartily recommend it!
Spend the night on our way to Custer State Park. Not too much in the town but this little hotel was very nice. For older people or people with disabilities, make sure you book a room downstairs because there are no elevators. The staff was very nice and helpful and while you're in town, make sure you visit the Oregon Trail Rutts...very interesting.
Even though there are only 3 places to stay in Guernsey, I would pick the other two after my experience. The staff was not helpful and the bathroom didn't have enough towels. No one cleaned the room after being away all day.
We never stayed at this brand hotel before, but were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly Alex checked us in and Jennie checked us out. The room was spacious and clean. The common area where continental breakfast was available was clean and available at times outside the 6-9 breakfast window. Picnic tables out front and a patio setting in the back offered nice options for our picnic near the Platte River. Don't be hesitant staying here.
This was our first time to travel through. We chose to stay at the Cobblestone Inn, based on the hotel’s reviews. This property did not disappoint!!! The entire team at the Cobblestone deserves major praise and recognition for all of their hard work and dedication!! Alex checked us in.. he is simply awesome!! Rooms spot on clean, comfortable!! High 5 Housekeeping team!! Delish hot breakfast in the morning!! Thank you to the entire team, each of you make a difference!!
On the way back south to denver from sturgis, got a late start, decided to spend the night at the cobblestone! Once in sept also! Two Christina’s were awsome! Hotel is spotless! Great breakfast even with silly covid restrictions! A must stop!! Will definitely return. Great customer service! Vinny approved!🌴👍
This room was fabulous, I wish would could take our room with us for the rest of our trip. We got the suite which had an entire kitchen set up (important during COVID times) and a private bedroom. It was clean and the AC worked great. I’d stay here again no doubt. We were not offered breakfast due to COVID, I feel they should have done a sack breakfast with juice, bagels, fruit, granola bars, cereal or something but it didn’t impact us too much as we did have a full kitchen and stopped by the grocery story and picked up food to cook.
My wife and I stayed in the Cobblestone Hotel Guernsey, WY for one night on our way to South Dakota. This is a very clean newly built hotel in a place that basically consists of one through road. Looking at this hotel website they have a grassed area in the grounds with a table and seating which looks very nice and enhances the hotel, however in reality the grassed area finishes short of this area and the table and seating area in on a gravelled dirt area, which spoils the look of the area. The hotel chain offer the usual number of discounts to AA & AAA members but do not offer a Senior discount which will deter Senior travellers. If in this area again I would stay at this hotel.
Stayed here while on a sports car trip with friends. Pleasant staff and check in was good. They hotel is relatively new and looks to be well kept. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Not really close to food so you'll need to drive a few minutes for dinner. Still would stay here again.
As said before - nice clean room maybe a bit over priced. Nice location and I had a nice view from my room onto the river and bridge. Good soundproof windows as I did not hear much from the busy street. Slow housekeeping - had to make up my bed myself as housekeeping did not show up until 3.30pm on the 1st day, was a bit faster in the second day but did not change the linens though I did NOT put the card on the bed indicating no change wanted. So what good is that for then?
