Cute, rustic cabins but not very clean. Dirty carpet, dingy bedding and mouldy shower stall. In fact no one wanted to even use the shower! Advertised free wi-if but it was slow to non existent-sit outside office if you want a better signal. Owners were very friendly - suggest you look for a better place unless you don't mind old,...

We are saddened to hear of your experience. Please be advised that we have new management in place as of the beginning of October, and that staff is being trained to a standard of excellence in housekeeping. You should find all future stays clean, comfortable and exceeding your expectations. We do have free wifi, and it should be working in...

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Yellowstone, which is a little over an hour away. We were greeted immediately by the friendliest staff! Check in was quick, easy and staff had many recommendations for the area. The grounds are clean and its walking distance to town. The rooms do need some help. They have a lot of cabin-like charm...

Thank you for your reply. Thank you for your positive comments, and know that we are working on the areas of concern. New bedding, quilts, etc, and some new mattresses are being purchased for many of our cabins as we prioritize upgrades. I noticed the date of your stay, and indeed Dubois had some "bad days" around that time. We...

We chose the Branding Iron because of the previous reviews stating it was "old but clean." We like to try places other than large chain motels and appreciate family run establishments. I loved the log cabin walls and charm of the rooms like the old doors and windows. But we took a gamble and we lost this time. The staff...

Thank you for your detailed review. It has helped us a great deal to be able to pinpoint managerial problems that made your stay less than satisfactory. Please know that as of October 1st, new management of our family run establishment is in place. We care a great deal about our guests, and what your concerns described regarding your cabins...

Forget going to Jackson before heading into the Tetons/Yellowstone, Dubois is a little quaint town that's a perfect pit stop. We stayed one night in a standard room, which was very large and also had a good sized bathroom. We were facing the road and were slightly worried about noise but that wasn't an issue at all. The room had...

I chose Branding Iron Inn not only for their very competitive rates but also because I wanted to get the feel of "the West". The cabins are definitely old but well maintained. I think their look and age adds charm. It can get tiring and really boring staying at those cookie cutter motels spread out all over the country. This...

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that your otherwise perfect stay was disrupted by a crying child. When you stay with us again, if you have ANYTHING that disturbs your rest, please call the emergency number. Staff is on property and we could have moved you as far away from the crying infant as our row of...

We booked for 3 nights and only stayed one night. The guy charges the visa for all three nights on the first day and we never saw him again! He leaves a phone number to reach him but he needs to answer or at least return the calls. I have stayed there in the past with no problems but will...

I am so sorry that you were not pleased with your recent stay. It is our policy to collect payment for the duration of a guest's stay when they check-in, and we do have a 24 hour cancellation notice. It sounds as though your travel plans changed during the duration of your trip, and we regret that you were unable...

Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate your comments indicating what was right about your stay, as well as your comments about things that could have made your stay more enjoyable. Since we do not know which cabin you stayed in, we will check the water flow in all of the shower heads, and make sure that additional lighting...

I found the room comfortable. Good Bed. Heating system worked well. In-Room coffee service was nice. Wi-Fi worked well, and was free. Adequate electrical outlets. The Inn is an older property; I stayed there once before, in 1976. The rooms are individual log cabin style duplex cottages. There was adequate hot water. Adequate parking. No noticeable noise from the neighbors....

Thank you for your kind comments. We are indeed one of the original and most respected hotels in town, with "tie hack" cabins built in the 40's and the convenience of modern amenities. We stayed here October 5, 2015 despite some shaky TripAdvisor reviews from the prior summer. It is under new management as of September 1 and the changes are impressive and continuing. We found that the management and staff are truly concerned about making their motel a success by addressing customer needs. We would stay again.
