The room was not clean!!!!!! The floor was not vacuumed. There were clothes on the floor from a previous guest. The room had an odor that did not appear to be from cleaner. The bathroom floor was rather rickety. I slept with my shoes on in case I needed to get up in the night.
My husband stayed at First Interstate Inn for an overnight stay on his way to MT. His report was the Inn is clean, nice, and great! The staff is very helpful and makes one feel welcomed. The best is the Inn looks like a motel one would see on Route 66!!!
Main office folks were wonderful. The room was clean with everything you need. It's not a fancy place but you can't beat it for the price. Rooms have fridge and microwave which is nice for a long term stay.
In a recent visit to Douglas, Wyoming, I stayed with my family in this motel, and I have only great things to say about our experience. We had been searching desperately for a last-minute room to fit our schedule the day before, and this hotel was our saving grace. The lady we talked with over the phone to make reservations was kind, polite, and reassuring. She helped us set up our hotel room for the next night, even though we had called late in the evening. When we arrived, the manager (Shelly) welcomed us and gave us some great suggestions for what to do around the town. We found the rooms pleasant and clean, with nice amenities, all very comfortably arranged. There were two large chairs, two double beds, a flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a suitcase stand in our room, as well as ample and very clean sink and counter space. The beds were fresh, very comfortable, and done up crisply, and the towels (and bathroom in general) were immaculate. The price was very reasonable, which we appreciated. In fact, we liked the room and the town so much that we extended our stay an extra night. If we are fortunate enough to come back through Wyoming, we will make a point of staying here again. We recommend this motel wholeheartedly! To Shelly, the manager, thanks again - and our jackalope made it home safely.…
Stayed here for about a month in may. Front desk was very helpfull and friendly. Room was clean and housekeeping was great There is a gas station and place to eat right across the street and a little church right next door. Price was good and it's right off the interstate.
Rooms were basic, but cozy. The water pressure in the shower was great. Unfortunately the wifi was awful, but overall it was a great place to stay for the night. The manager was very nice! We'd definitely stay there again.
Staff is still super friendly. Price cannot be beat. The room was basic but clean and quite comfortable. There's a pretty good "greasy spoon" style restaurant across the street, other than that it is kind of out in the boonies. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable low-cost place to crash for the night this is your motel.
We stayed for one night, got in later, left early, so all we did was sleep and shower. The bed was fairly comfortable, if a bit soft, and the shower was hot and had lots of pressure. Cons: no WiFi; the walls were very thin and we got to hear every word of the long conversation the next-door guy had with someone on the phone; I couldn't charge my phone using any wall socket because they were all so loose, my charger fell out of them (super weird, never has happened to me before); the door and wall by the door were absolutely filthy, which is not the end of the world, but was the last impression I had of the hotel.
We had thirty people stay here for a family reunion/eclipse viewing. The manager, Shelley was more than accommodating. She put up with the crazies in our family (don’t we all have a couple?), she dealt with the large number of people arriving at one time with grace and class. She knew this would be the busiest she had ever been, so she stocked up on ice and propane so we could have a private gathering and keep our beer and pop cold. Beyond the helpfulness of the staff, the location is convenient right off the interstate and across the road from a gas station/convenience store and restaurant. If a person wants to get off I-25, get a hot shower, some sleep, gas and food, this place is perfect. It is not the Ritz Carlton, there is no swimming pool, hot tub, concierge service, breakfast buffet or valet parking. But it is clean, the beds are comfortable and everything works.…
First Interstate Inn at Douglas, Wyoming was clean, comfortable, pet friendly, had easy access off the interstate, and had low rates. Even more important, they had the best and friendliest customer service I've ever had. We were there for a family reunion and had multiple family members with varied check in and check out dates all staying at the motel. The manager handled all our reservations and changes to our reservations cheerfully and competently. She kept track of family members on a first name basis.
