The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds. It was nice to have the hot breakfast, cinnamon rolls. The Front Desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. I will come back and stay here again
Would I Stay Here Again? Yes Notable positives: Cleanliness; helpful front staff Notable negatives: I had written confirmation of my reservation, but the front desk could not find it on their computer database. Nevertheless, I was provided with an upgraded room.
This place was awesome. Bright, clean, fresh, affordable, and with pool and free breakfast. It is a few blocks off the highway (but very convenient) so a quiet place. Plus bonus it is next door to a Y or boys/girls club place and there is a couple mile paved river walk right there! So after a long day of travel, a great place to stretch your legs in a safe, quiet river walk. Also, we had been frustrated with a lack of hotel options between Black hills and Denver, and Douglas Wyoming, while just a few miles out of the way, is a great stopping point. Largest town around with plenty of amenities and this wonderful hotel to stay at. Will definitely use this place and location again!
The staff was friendly. The pool was a reasonalbe temperature. This hotel is "face friendly." Signs are posted on door I'm guessing for local or corporate purposes. You can stay here as comfortably as you would in your own home.
After checking in I was welcomed by Ms. Erica and given a room on the first floor. After going to my room there was an issue with the commode and Erica handled it professionally and quickly as it was already pretty late in the evening. Breakfast was prepared and served by Miss Stacey(SP) and was absolutely delicious. She was super friendly and the breakfast area was extremely clean and sanitized. Thank you both for a wonderful! Both rooms were also very clean and perfect temperature at check-in.
We stayed here on the way to see family. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room was spotless. This is a very well-maintained property. We will have no problem staying here again!
Nice hotel near historic downtown. Rooms are big and beds are comfy. Service was outstanding at the front desk and in the breakfast room. Desks and tables in the room. They could use new laps on the desk and nightstand as they don't allow iPad to be plugged in, the lamp blocks the plugs. Otherwise, all was perfect.
Over the past 5 years I have had to stay in Douglas, Wy due to work. I have always stayed at the Holiday Inn, except for one time when I had to book in a different hotel (AND hated it!). This Holiday Inn goes out of their way to make every single person feel welcomed. They have treated me like family and I must say they treat the many oil field service workers with the same care. I love every single person who works there and they are simply THE BEST.
When traveling from Montana to Nebraska you are limited to the places you can stop. This time I decided on Douglas WY. I was traveling with a friend so we didn't want to share a room but it was expensive to get two rooms. They offered a junior suite so we decided to take it. It was perfect. The second room has two twin beds and cute sheets. Everything was clean and the front desk help was fun and efficient. She also gave us very clear directions to a good restaurant. My only complaint is that the decaf coffee was cold at 7:30 in the morning so it had probably sat there all night. It's a nice place, I would stay there again.
Found what looked to be like a plastic abortion tool in the bathtub drain! Mortified and disgusted! No idea as to why this would be in a bathtub drain! Housekeeping vacuuming outside room door during night shift hours and knocking on door with do not disturb sign posted on door! Very frustrating!
