We stayed at the Bill Cody Ranch as a part of an Eli Lily grant trip. We explored areas where great American writers lived, wrote, and fly fished. Cody Ranch was our gateway to Cody and Yellowstone where Hemingway finishe A Farewell to Arms and called the North Fork the best fishing in the world. The ranch was great for our family. Great food, plenty of room to explore and a two hour horseback ride. The hands even let the girls help feed the horses. Wonderful stay!

We were only able to stay one nite in 2018, but that experience makes me want to return so badly. The cabin was clean and the hospitality at breakfast cannot be matched. Great food and the gift shop was a great experience. My "Bill Cody" coffee mug is still going strong. The Red cowboy boot figurine still makes me smile and the next spring-Renee gladly mailed my nephew a Red boot like mine.

Loved this quiet getaway. Quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly. Expect to be engaged with communication by guests, staff, owners and cow dogs. Friendly and genuine western hospitality. Stayed in a cabin with large room and King size bed. Large closet, small refrigerator, full size bath, 3 windows that opened, no A/C but large floor fan. At night enjoyed the Milky Way and more stars than I recall seeing. Log cabin Ranch House has common room with large stone fireplace, bison head mount over fireplace, grand piano, flat screen TV playing old TV show reruns like “Wagon Train” and other western memorabilia. Cozy Western bar adjacent to common room. Restaurant dining in indoor dining room or outside on deck. Restaurant open for breakfast and supper. Good food with huge portions. After supper campfire s’mores. If asked they’ll even make you a picnic sack lunch to take away. We didn’t ride horses, but spent time away sight-seeing. Loved our stay. Want to return.

If you plan to visit Yellowstone and want to be closer to the East entrance than Cody, this is a nice halfway point. Still close enough to Cody if you want to visit and shop or dine out, but a nice quiet retreat. I did not read the fine print and did not realize that there is no cell service or internet service in the rooms. You can sit in the lobby and connect to the internet, but it was very slow. Usually not an issue, but I had a work issue that I had to check on while I was there. There is a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. The selection isn't huge, but adequate and so convenient. Servers were so nice. Food was okay. We only had one chair in our room which was awkward and uncomfortable for us. There were two adirondack chairs outside, but too big to pull into the room. ANd there were no drawers in the room, so if you live out of a suitcase, you should be fine. We like to unpack (especially since we were on a month long road trip) at hotels and there wasn't any place to put our stuff. Air conditioning consists of opening your windows in the evening and closing them in the morning. Fortunately, they provide fans and the room stayed cool. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with any questions and quick to fill your ice bucket. All in all, it would be fine for a one night stay, but not much longer.

Dear Kathy, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as well as your feedback with us. Our priority is customer service and we are ecstatic that we met that mark! We’re so sorry that your experience did not match your expectations. Because we are located in the Shoshone National Forest, we have limited access to internet. However, we do provide Wi-Fi in our lodge. We understand how this could be an inconvenience and hope you were able to still enjoy your stay with us. We value our customers’ opinions and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We spent four nights. In a word - Wonderful! Cabins are rustic, charming, well maintained. Sit on your front porch. Watch the creek, eat s'mores, ride horses, and sit in outside dining if you like. Don't sit outside though if you don't like meeting people. Everyone visited. There were no strangers by the time you finished your meal. My favorites were potato medley, trout, and best biscuits and gravy ever! Very friendly staff dedicated to your enjoyment.
