Great find on a road trip for a reasonable price. Parking was free and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is full of history and pet friendly. They provided us with a treat bag for our dog. Would stay here again.

Love the Plains Hotel and all of its charm and character. We stay there several times yearly. However; ownership change in past few years with apparent cost cutting seems to have lead to a declines in some of the services/amenities. For example, the breakfast used to be the highlight of our stay, but now we eat elsewhere.

Straight out of a ghost story. Beautifully furnished. Loved the atmosphere. The staff was friendly. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was good, fine selection of liquors and beer. The room was oozing history. Will be back with the family.

Ah me I always search out the old hotels but am sometimes wishing I had stayed near the highway! Well, being in town was better for walking and we had a good choice of places to eat but the place does not show too many signs of being loved Staff was very nice and Brian was a big help as...

We go to the Historic Plains Hotel every year and this time the people above us were extremely loud at about 6 am,I was sure the light fixture was going to fall from the ceiling. The don't offer room service and the parking garage is 2 blocks away.

Great place to stay in a historic hotel. Updated so it provides everything a newer hotel provides. Within walking distance of everything you need. Only negative is the elevator is slow, but it does work. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was large and well furnished. Nice and quiet. This is our 4th stay and have never been disappointed.

I love the Historic Plains Hotel and stay there every chance I get. Unlike today's cookie cutter hotels, the Plains has a wonderful atmosphere and shows you what hotel accomdations were like before the chains ruined the experience. Large rooms and great rates.

The hotel was a little quieter than I thought; that's a good thing since I was afraid it would be too noisy to get a good night's sleep. I had to wait quite a while for the hot water to make it up to my third floor room but once I learned to wait a while, it was OK. Overall,...
