Epic stay at The Historic Plains in Cheyenne, WY. Giant room, historic hotel, great staff. Loved the old sign-in register book, and the sense of a time gone by can be felt in the classic decorative touches. Truly unique.

I stayed at this hotel last summer and was so pleased with it's historic feel, but modern rooms. Bed was quite comfortable, not to mention just sort of an allover comfortable feeling you get when you first enter the lobby. Within walking distance to lots of cute shops, bars and restaurants - though I enjoyed most meals in the hotel....

I made an unscheduled stop in Cheyenne Wyoming and didn't really know where to stay the night. I located the Plains Hotel on Tripadvisor and it provided a rate. I went inside to the front desk and was quoted significantly higher rate. I showed the staff member the Tripadvisor rate and was immediately treated very rudely. The staff member stated...

Visiting from New York City, I ate at the Plains Hotel Dining Room three times during my nine day stay, and every time I got sophisticated Continental cuisine prepared to absolute perfection by Chef Christine. Buffalo carpaccio appetizer, prime rib main course, roast chicken roulade marsala mushrooms, and little potatoes another day--and my favorite, braised salmon with pear custard for...

.....with our room, location, staff. The hotel is remodeled classic turn of the century. Amply sized room with high ceilings. Very clean and tidy with comfortable bed. Check in person asked if we would prefer back, quieter space -we did and it was! Within walking distance of downtown amenities. Free parking.

We did not stay here but did stop in for lunch. Very creative menu so we returned for happy hour and appetizers. We overheard the manager say the staff was given one week's notice that the restaurant will close. Sad since the area needs this cool historic touch! New management making changes? The front desk man was terrific on Friday...

We stumbled upon this hotel as we approached Cheyenne and I was so happy we did. This hotel is a much more interesting option than a chain hotel off the interstate for a comparable price. Every corner of this hotel has a piece of Wyoming's history. The staff was very nice, the room was very large and comfortable and the...

A fun place to stay. Lots of history. Clean. Reataurant food very good. Used trip advisor and got a fantastic rate. Fyi...eater takes a long time to get warm. This not for those who want everything perfect and new, but if you appreciate the past you won't be dissapointed. Very friendly staff. Towels were new. Internet did not work.

This is an old and storied hotel in downtown Cheyenne. Check in was quick and efficient, but somewhat of a let down. When we told the front desk person that it was our anniversary, the first thing that they asked us is if we wanted to pay for an upgrade. In the end, we did end up upgrading to a...

Great restored hotel. Period decorations. Delicious restaurant. Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are a bit dated, but are in process of redecorating. We had booked ahead of time and were glad because we got caught in an ice storm driving from Denver to Cheyenne.

Thank Diane T
