The washburn Inn is pretty much the only thing there
Check in was easy and the staff were pleasant.
Our room was on the 2nd floor, but they didn’t appear to have an elevator
The room was OK. We did not have a waterfront room which would have been nice
The room was reasonably sized and appeared clean
The AC worked, but was older and kind of loud
The TV was large and had a good selection of channels
The lighting in the room was OK and there were some outlets
There was no microwave but there was a fridge
The bed was past its prime- very saggy mattress.
The bathroom was small, but appeared clean
of course this is not a fault of the hotel, but there is no good restaurant anywhere near. On a Tuesday night not a single restaurant in town was open. PLAN AHEAD. There are lots of places in Ashland about 10 miles away. There are a few in Bayfield 10 miles further down the road
they had coffee in the morning, but nothing else.
overall I thought the room was pricey considering the size, age, bed, and lack of a pool, gym, any food, etc.
The whole setting is peaceful. Washburn has some nice restaurants and other business to visit. Unfortunately due to the Covid they were closed, I look forward to visiting again. A few side notes: The bathroom was a little small, the AC was a little noisy, but white noise is good in a motel so you don't hear neighbors.
The room was clean and simple. We had room 102, which was very near the front door, and was Handicap Friendly. Large TV, in-room small fridge. The microwave was available in the common area, as well as coffee at the front desk. Nothing fancy, just clean and simple. There were no bibles available in the room.
This is a tourist area, and so being able to find anything for a room is always a good thing. There are places to eat nearby. There are no big-name restaurants available unless you go to Ashland. Book ahead if you are going during the tourist season.
