Nestled in the trees on the south shore of Lake Superior Bodin's Resort is a gem. We have sandy beaches, crystal clear water, spacious lawns, and a glorious view of the sunrise over the Chequamegon Bay. If you aren't an early riser, do not fear, the colors of the sunset reflecting off the waters are just as breathtaking.

Our family spent three nights at Bodins Resort, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We rented the older white cabin and the newer red cabin. Both were very spacious, well-equipped, clean and fit our needs perfectly. The red cabin has a wonderful open layout and made it so easy and relaxing to visit and enjoy meals together. Views from both cabins were absolutely magnificent ! The grounds are very well maintained and much larger than expected. We brought up our kayaks and it was so easy to launch off from their beach area. Mornings were especially relaxing, enjoying a cup of coffee by the waterfront and taking in the beautiful sunrises. Nighttime was just as special, though, with several areas to have a campfire. The location was perfect — we hiked the Houghton Nature preserve, the sea cave trail starting at Meyers beach, the waterfall trails at Copper Falls State Park, etc., and enjoyed one evening in Bayfield walking thru the town and by the marina. We definitely will visit Bodins Resort again in the future, but next time will give ourselves more time. I give this resort my highest recommendation. If you like a natural setting, I really don’t think you will find a better place to stay!!

Not too fancy, this comfortable homey 50's style cabin on Lake Superior was quiet, very well maintained, secluded from the 3 other cabins on the property and with a view of the Apostle Islands from the bedroom glass doors. The manager stopped by upon our arrival to let us know she was available but otherwise we were left alone. Well mannered dogs were allowed; we took our very pregnant Bouvier des Flandres along with us ~ and everyone was respectful and clean with their dogs. The nice little kitchen made it possible for us to have supper 'at home' although we did venture into town to Coco's for their GREAT breakfasts (multiple thumbs up!!)

Four quiet basically appointed cabins each with their own decks along a nice grassy lawn overlooking both Long and Madeline Islands. Warm sandy shallow waters that begs for a swim even on a cloudy day.
Bring your four legged family members too because dogs are welcome and will love the little hiking trail or roaming the large lawns.
Boat launch, pier, Frisbee golf, fire pit, grills, dish TV, and kitchen basics are all provided.
Great location between Washburn and Bayfield plenty to do if you dare leave the serene setting.

We loved the resort. Stayed in the blue cabin, beautiful views, my kids loved the beach, the property was very clean and well kept, very nice accommodations. You have to be careful about which property you book, however. We booked the blue cabin (1/2 of a duplex), but upon check-in, were told we were in the gray cabin. “The gray cabin half of the blue duplex.” Gray is great, too, but MUCH smaller than blue. Blue has a large loft bedroom, full sized dining table, sunroom/porch, much bigger living area, patio off the bedroom… so it kind of felt like a bait and switch. Also didn’t feel like I got any sort of straight-forward answer upon check in. Finally, after looking again at the properties online, where it seems the property listings are a bit ambiguous, and checking my reservation which very clearly states I reserved blue and then asking for a refund for the difference, then we were told we could move our stuff from the gray cabin to the blue. So that hugely affected my trust for the owner, so I can’t recommend staying there for that reason. But the owner is very responsive and everything is well cared for. I just need to be able to trust the owner of a place I’m going to have my kids sleeping in at night, and I can’t help but wonder why this whole thing felt very shady in trying to stay in the property I booked.

A group of friends, 4 couples, met up and stayed at Bodins Resort, it was the absolute perfect setting. We visited the Apostle Islands during the day and cooked at our cabins in the evening. Afterward we sat around the campfire and told stories and laughed. Such a great time and the resort was very welcoming and friendly.

This was our second visit to Bodin's Resort Red Cabin and, just like the first time, it was great. The cabin is new, has a great layout, comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has all the basics you need. And hard to beat the morning sunrise. Bill is great to work with, very responsive and helpful. Close to Washburn, Bayfield and Ashland with lots of dining choices and cute shops. We have already booked a return visit. We highly recommend this resort! Thanks from Larry and Denise

Our stay at Bodin's Resort was fantastic. It was our first trip to the area, and we couldn't have been happier with this property.
The location is excellent--close to Washburn for necessities; and a very short drive to Bayfield and everything that area has to offer.
But even being well located, it feels very remote and quiet, right on the water. So peaceful.
We stayed in the White Cabin, and it was perfect for us.One of the main reasons we chose Bodin's is that they advertised as being dog-friendly, and they certainly were! Our two dogs just loved the huge yard and surrounding areas.
The cabin was well-appointed, with everything we needed for a week long visit. It has it's own deck facing the lake, and a Weber grill we used nearly every night.
And as an FYI, the lake is generally east of the cabins--you get beautiful sunrises! (but no sunsets here - which was not a drawback for us.)
We hope to return!
