Alas I regret to report that as of January 2015 Hill Street B & B is now closed (despite the fact that the web site is still on line). We have stayed there every year since 2003 (some years more than once). Its wonderful owners, Kelly and Jay, have moved to Indiana to pursue a different career path. As of... More

The thing that strikes us most about this B&B is the thoughtfulness of the proprietor. From bringing iced tea out to us while we were outside repairing flat bicycle tires, to greeting us with homemade cookies, to sending us on our way the next day with a bag of yet another type of homemade cookie (a godsend a few hours... We (my parents and in-laws, along with my husband and I) have stayed at Hill Street a few times. We come to Spring Green for American Players Theatre just outside of town. This time, between making reservations and the stay, I was diagnosed with Celiac. Mom called Kelly to warn her and Kelly really came through for me. The midnight... More

We love Hill St. B & B! The Phelps make you feel comfortable - my home your home feeling. It is wonderful to be downtown, able to walk to shops, especially Arcadia Book Store, one of the very best anywhere. The breakfasts are outstanding - very healthy and delicious. Much fun to be there with other APT theater goers -... More

There isn't a better place to stay in the Spring Green area. We return every year when we go to American Players Theater. Staying at Hill Street is the highlight of our summer weekend getaways. The breakfasts are yummy and the other guests are usually a friendly group with whom you can share reviews of the plays. The accommodations are well... More

We're repeat visitors, having stayed at the Hill Street B&B for a number of years. The guests have been interesting, and the discussions at the breakfast table and evenings (usually after American Players Theatre (americanplayers.org) plays) have been great. Great rooms, well maintained, and excellent guidance on local restaurants and events.

I stayed here since I was in Spring Green for a couple of days for business. I travel for a living, and it was nice to just stay in a home for this trip, rather than a cookie-cutter hotel. Especially for Spring Green, since they don't have Marriotts or Hiltons here. You are really at the mercy of the local... More

My husband and I, along with two other couples, traveled to Spring Green for the annual Spring Green Art Fair and American Players Theater. Since we had stayed at Hill Street B & B in 2011 and had a great experience, we booked again in January 2012 for our stay in late June. We received written confirmation by email of... More

We have spent several nights at Hill Street over the years. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are very good. The hosts are very helpful and responsive. They are familiar with the area and can direct you to your interests. It's within walking distance of downtown Spring Green which has a number of interesting and fun shops and... More

We just loved this place! The owners were laid back yet attentive, the rooms were clean, quiet, with a gentle dollop of Victorian Luxury. We arrived an hour before a matinee at American Plays, and we'd planned to see two plays that day. We were too early for check-in, so they said, "ah, we'll take care of that when you... More
