We had three nights in The Ferry, and enjoyed each of them. It is a beautiful and tranquil location about 10km outside of Queenstown. We hadn't appreciated this at first, but to be honest, this was a distinct plus! Queenstown is a crazy place, and it was great to come back to the peace and quiet of this riverside location...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ferry. We were so well looked after in this very carefully converted hotel retaining many of its original fixtures and fittings. The room was so comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Buckley the house dog is a character and good fun to take for a walk. I strongly recommend this to anyone visiting Queenstown...

I traveled to NZ with my parents and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ferry B&B. Kevin and Glenys were both so very welcoming and accommodating, not to mention Buckley, the resident dog. We arrived in Queenstown during the winter and really enjoyed the beautiful city and even more enjoyed our time at The Ferry. Everything was very...

Upon arrival to The Ferry, Glenys met us in the beautiful front garden to welcome us to what I consider "my home away from home." We were escorted to our shared room which contained two single beds. In addition, we had access to a second bedroom which we used to store additional luggage. Our private bathroom down the hall was...

Glenys and Kevin actually made us feel so much at home that I had to remind myself to wear the robe in the night when I left my room to use the bathroom I shared with my friend. We stayed for five nights and our Queenstown experience was one of the highlights of our 3-week trip--horseriding, jetboating, and walking along...

The experience at Ferry B & B was not what we had expected. Perhaps it was because Kevin was out of town, or Glennys was under stress, but we felt like family that overstayed our welcome. The house is historic and in a great location with natural beauty and a fun, friendly dog. As others have mentioned, it is about...

WOW! Where did this come from? I guess we had to get a bad one sooner or later, everyone seems to, guess you can't please everyone. Nancy and family stayed with us for 3 nights and although I am normally very good at picking up on peoples vibes at no time did I feel that she wasn't happy here. We...

Glenys and Kevin are such a friendly couple they made us feel so welcome when we arrived and throughout our whole stay of 6 days. Fantastic breakfasts, bueatiful scenery, interesting history of the building. Kevin has lots of knowledge of the area and gave us lots of useful tips on where to go and what to do. Very close to...

The Ferry is a welcoming respite away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. Glenys and Kevin have made the B&B into a very cosy, friendly, almost museum-like stay. The images and memorabilia of a time gone by are truly fascinating and enchanting. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The living/dining room is made cosy by deep chairs...

DELIGHTFUL. . Buckley the Springer Spaniel a real bonus. Quiet country style cul de sac location with view of old Shotover Bridge. Great hosts who have a keen interest in the history of the original hotel. Will visit again,

I can highly recommend The Ferry to anyone who wants to visit Queenstown and vicinity but who enjoys cosy, tranquil and peaceful surroundings , especially if you travel in a small group and even more so if you have small children in the party. The hospitality of Glenys and Kevin makes you feel right at home from the start and...

“Master room was delightful with an old "pull the chain loo", ensuite and roomy. Double room was lovely with a view of the garden. Shared bathroom for our group wasn't a problem. Twin room was quite small, good for kids, and friends, beds comfy and it worked. I would swap the beds to head and tail if possible. Or perhaps put in a set of bunks. Shared Bathroom.”
