On the spur of the moment we decided to drive to Bangor to Christmas shop. Checked the Inn on the web and called the numbedr about 3:30 that afternoon. John was a great help getting a reservation for the night. Arrived 3 hours later and we were told we were being upgraded to a larger room. In the room in... More

A planned night out to relax with my wife. I reserved the honeymoon suite in a seprate building from the Inn. We got there late in the afternoon, the view from our deck was quite nice. The suite was very nice with a full bathroom, a small area with coffee maker, a sink, and a refrigerator. A large closet was... More

Gorgeous views of the Maine countryside. We stayed for 5 nights in early October. Large room with wonderful view. Housekeeping in need of more help. We would be gone the entire day and would have to call front desk to have room cleaned, this could be at 5 pm, 7 pm, etc. Once, we came back to find the room... More

The Lucerne inn is certainly a landmark past which we had passed by for years. So this anniversary we decided to book a 2 night stay. Our first shock was upon checking in and lesrning our toom was on the 3rd floor was that there was no offer to assist with our large bag. The "suite" was large and clean... More

This inn is very night, quite large and fairly close to other towns to visit in maine but asay from any noise, etc tgat you would find in a downtown area. Great room. There is a golf course across from it for those that play. Not too far to bar harbor and a short drive to bangor elsworth areas. Very... More

We stayed here one night during the labor day weekend arriving late at night from a family gathering. We wound up in the second building and had to haul our bag up three flights of stairs. When we entered the room, two of the 4 lights in the room were not working so called the desk but they were unable... More

This is the place were I proposed to my wife, and we just celebrated our 1st anniversary. I just wished we had more time to enjoy the pool. The food was fantastic, although not a huge selection. The rooms are outstanding; if you can get one of the back-facing rooms you will enjoy a very scenic view of mountains and... More

The venue was ideal for my husband's retirement reception! From the guest rooms and the dining rooms, to the service and food, everything was perfect. Add to that the amazing view and historical significance of the Lucerne, and you really do have the perfect event venue or escape destination! We would highly recommend the Inn and plan to return soon!

The wife and I stayed here for two nights as it was the closest place to a wedding we were attending. The price was very reasonable (our friends were jealous as they paid a similar amount for the EconoLodge 20 minutes away). The rooms were very clean and nice. We ended up with the only room without a view, but... More
