Great place to stay! There were multiple outdoor seating areas with various grills and one fire pit. Multiple piers. The playground (a safe distance from the lake) is nice for little ones. There are alot of activities without extra cost- we enjoyed the kayaks, kids fishing rods, and fire wood. There is a swimming area at the lodge but no beach so it is better suited for older children/adults, but the water is quite murky. The narrows park beach a short distance away (we easily kayaked or walked there) was a better place to swim. Everything was clean and our little kitchen had the basics needed.

From the minute we arrived we were treated like family. Talking to us about all there was to do at the Lodge. They have kayaks, canoes and Pontoons all to rent. The Firepit is gorgeous with swings all around. Would highly recommend as it is right on the lake.

Last minute vacation idea to unwind. It was just what our family needed. Rooms are nice sized and clean with quality seating options outside overlooking the beautiful lake. The whole property showed pride in family ownership with cute up north decorations and lovely landscaping. Quite a welcome change from corporate hotel chains. While I imagine a weekend might not be as quiet, we had a perfect relaxing couple of weekdays. All the non motorized boating options available for free were a blast for the kids and adults. They even had fishing poles, a tackle box and our daughter caught at least a dozen fish off a pier. The swimming area is small and not even waist high, but with a sandy bottom it was still refreshing. We didn’t end up renting a pontoon but they looked in great shape and easy in/out at a reasonable price as I had priced them on other lakes. Friendly staff. Respectful guests as you all cross paths outside. Pet friendly and we got to meet several well behaved pups. Firepit at night with nothing but stars and sounds of the lake was another bonus. If you are looking to unwind and feel like you’re almost in your own cabin up north….. then this is a great place for a couple days to recharge and reset. Only small suggestion would be to provide maybe some muffins with the included breakfast vs. just scones, which weren’t exactly a hit with the kiddos (grown ups enjoyed them).

Our family loves Curriers Lodge! We have been coming since 2018. When we check out, we rebook for the next year. This year there were 25 who stayed. The fishing, kayaking, and pontoon never disappoint. It is fun for all ages! The large deck is the perfect place to gather, enjoy each other and the beautiful view of the lake. Morning coffee and the perfect scone is complimentary which we all loved! Looking forward to next year!

Our family has nine children ranging from 1 1/2-10 yrs of age. Eight adults and nine children we secured three rooms. One large enough for two of the families. Couriers has plenty for activities and water enjoyment. Restaurants in the area served us so well. The kids loved the pontoon boat and pedal boats and playground. The views are beautiful right on Rice Lake. The community is very nice. The owners and workers couldn’t be nicer and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

Just got back from another 5 night stay at Curriers. The moment you walk in you are treated so kind. The staff is great, the rooms are so very clean (and that means a lot to us). The owners Becky and Shawn are the kindness owners I have ever met. The place has changed so much since they took ownership, its well done. The views from each room are breath taking. I already miss it and can't wait to go back next year!! Thank you all again for a wonderful stay

It had been 3 years since we stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. Updates have been done with a nice sidewalk added out front. Rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. Rustic atmosphere gives you that cabin feel in a good way. Excellent views of the lake and magnificent sunsets. They have kayaks, and pontoons for rent. We did not do so, but I caught a northern off the dock. We would stay here any time we are in Rice Lake. Great access to restaurants and a nice oasis for a relaxing stay. They do fill up, so make reservations early.

Let me begin by pointing out that I am in no way "entitled" beyond expecting to receive what I paid for and was promised. Curriers is a charming place; the rooms are small but comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast nook well serviced. The lodge is close enough to shopping and nearby attractions, and there is free use of craft to go onto the lake with. All in all a very nice place to stay. ATTENTION...Negativity Our first night was very relaxing; we sat and watched the sunset in the most comfortable deck chairs, and slept well that evening. The second day was the beginning of our nightmare stay. A family reunion/birthday party arrived and absolutely ruined the peaceful solitude. Imagine expecting a quiet stay and having to tolerate kids running on the deck, barking dogs, and the most inconsiderate people I've chanced to come across in years. There was no escape from their rudeness. Their party was held outside below our room; they could have had it at the nearby park, or even at the kids play area, but no "Let's ignore the fact that there's other people who paid for a quiet place to vacation at and ruin their weekend!". There's a posted quiet time of 10PM to 8AM, but their revelry went on 'til 1AM when we finally had enough and told them to take their party to the other side of the lake. It was almost as though they worked in teams to annoy us because the next morning the wives and kids had social hour with loud inane banter. That night the partying was in full swing and preemptively we contacted the front desk and asked them to remind the partiers of "quiet time", which to their credit they did, however the group must have held an entire stack of 'get out being responsible free' cards and continued for hours after quiet time, even lighting off fireworks! So I'm writing this from the deck shortly after 7:30 in the morning. The day shift is already here. I'm trying to enjoy my coffee and scone as I listen to their volume inhanced discussion on baby poop and formula. I'd be remiss if I didn't thank that family for ruining my peaceful vacation. F@#* you all! Thanks to the staff at Curriers for attempting to keep the group quiet and for an otherwise wonderful stay.

We are so sorry that you were not happy with the other guests. We do have a caretaker on-site 24/7 as well as our owners visible during the day. We also try to ensure it is quiet after 10pm. Should we have known and been made aware of the frustration to Shawn and I as owners we would have gladly addressed this for you. If you stay again we can help you find a more secluded room as well.

We went for a winter getaway. The lodge was very inviting, sort of old school up north. The view was awesome. The room was warm and clean with updated baths and fixtures. The grounds were well plowed and the walkways were clear of ice and snow. Facility and staff were excellent. Hint- for extra savings, place your reservation on their website.
