My wife and I live about 30 miles west of Milwaukee and the Pfister Hotel. We enjoy all that Milwaukee has to offer, especially the excellent restaurants and entertainment opportunities. About once a month or so, we choose to stay downtown to immerse ourselves in the downtown vibe - with no worries about driving. While there are many very nice...

We live just an hour from Milwaukee but come to the Pfister every time we visit. It's at a perfect location: three blocks from Riverwalk; three blocks from museum and lakeside. The lobby has a grande ballroom look which makes you wish you were wearing a tie and fedora. And the piano bar in the lobby has comfy couches and...

Thank you Steve for the great review! Our key system is similar to many used in hotels throughout the world. I apologize that you continued to encounter a challenge with your key loosing its coding during your visit. We will continue to look into this challenge you experienced. We hope that you will continue to choose the Pfister as your...

The Pfister makes a rather grand statement when you pull up and walk into the lobby. What a grand historic hotel. The lobby is amazing, and so is the service. The property fell a little flat for me in the room, speaking honestly. Many of the furnishings look cheap and generic and are a little worn. The highlights of the...

Thank you 'ittessot' for the review. You will find that we have recently renovated our Tower and offer the Pfister Tower rooms with more of a modern style and guest room décor as you mentioned. I can assure you that our Pfister Historic guest rooms offer a little more of the traditional guest room experience while still offering modern day...

We enjoyed a one night stay July 12th. Upon checking in, the clerk, Eric, noticed I had just celebrated my birthday. He then upgraded us to a beautiful suite. We asked for suggestions about the area and he offered excellent, helpful ideas. The Pfister is the oldest hotel in Milwaukee however it has all the amenities of a 21st century hotel....

Stunning older hotel in downtown Milwaukee with outstanding service on all levels. Comfortable and fully equipped rooms with all conveniences needed. Hotel restaurants are above average and the immediate neighborhood has German, Italian, Cuban, Moroccan and Thai restaurants as well as a host of coffee shops and luncheonettes.

Stumbled across this gem by accident on a trip to pick up daughter from college. First trip to Milwaukee and wanted to stay downtown. Service across the board was excellent, staff could not have been any friendlier. Fascinating history, one of the most expensive hotels built in America in its day. One of the most ornate lobbies I've seen, the...

We booked this hotel based on its location (downtown) and the reviews. It is ranked as a 4-star hotel, but having recently stayed at a 5 star hotel elsewhere in the state I was a bit disappointed. I realize the historic value of the hotel, it had some beautiful art work and was quite stately. The room was nice and...

Stayed on the 21st floor in the tower section of the Pfister. The room was a nice size, the king bed comfortable & the bathroom well appointed. We enjoyed access to the club room on the 23rd floor. Evening appetizers and the honor bar were a wonderful option after work. Blu was also nice but cocktails were overpriced by $2-3....

This is the grande dame of the Milwaukee hotels.
