My wife and I have stayed in this area of Milwaukee on numerous trips in the past and decided to stay at the Astor for the very first time and it will definitely be our last! Our room was extremely hot and had no thermostat in it to control the temp. The front makeshift desk solution to fixing this problem...

If you're looking for a modern hotel with all the amenities, this isn't for you. However, if you're looking for a really neat historic place with small but nice rooms, clean as possible for a place this old, friendly staff, cool common areas and a decent price downtown, check this place out. Was able to find on-street parking right across...

I got a room for US$70 per day for a 7 days booking. Seems OK for the price paid. Hotel has been awarded with Heritage status and it shows on every front. If Nostalgia is what you are looking for, look no further. Rooms are of good size & kept clean, service can be made better. There are good eating...

I probably wouldn't stay here again. Rooms were very small. No air conditioning and there was an odor that wasn't very appealing. I understand its a landmark, but they could still update. The lobby was beautiful thou. Also, they advertise and lounge, but we couldn't go in because there was a private party.

We stayed here for NYE since all other hotels were sold out. That should have been our first clue. 1. Walls are paper thin - be prepared to hear other people "celebrating." 2. Smells like mold and we were unable to open the windows to air out room. 3. Parking! You have to pay for parking, but they oversell the...

We stayed here after a wedding, it was close to the venue and priced well. The hotel offered a free shuttle to go anywhere within a few miles of the hotel which was nice, but they stop running at 11pm. The hotel felt secure and safe. The room was ok, there were a pair of socks that were left in...

I stayed at Astor for a night for business, because all other hotels that my company allows me to stay at were fully booked. This hotel is simply, terrible. There's a parking lot in the back of the hotel but you need a pass key to get in, and you need to check in first to get the pass key....

10 friends stayed here to attend Irish Fest for a weekend. We were all satisfied with our rooms. The hotel is very old, even on the historic registry. There are no major upgrades to the facility. It shows many glimpses back to a previous era of travel' there are few electrical outlets, no central air conditioning, hollow room doors for...

My husband and I stayed for first time during Summerfest. Hotel prices generally are higher during this event and did not want to spend $$$ just for a place to sleep. The hotel is dated, built in 1920 but that does give it some charm. It's on the East Side, neat Brady steet area. There are local bars across the...

The hotel has seen better days. Works are currently ongoing which are disrupting both the facilities (my heating wasn't working on first night) and comfort (was woken up by it). Rooms are basic but clean and bed is big. Excellent location, staff were very welcoming, especially Dave & Mary who were top notch. The reception room and bar are extremely...
