We have been coming to Luck for 20+ years and staying at the Luck Country Inn. Every year it gets worse and always different owners. This year we got our room and when we went inside it smelled HORRIBLE!! Air was not on, so we turned it on and left for about 2 hours. Came back and carpet in front of AC was soaking wet. Told front desk and he came to look. He did not have any other room to transfer us to. He eventually put a relish dish under it to catch the water. The next morning we asked the new front desk person for a fan to try and dry carpet while we were going to be gone all day. AC was off the entire time. Came back after about 8 hours and it smelled even worse and carpet was still wet. The "owner" came to look at it and said it must be from rain water. Hasn't…
I've stayed at the Luck Country Inn 3-4 times a year since 2001. The last 3 yrs, the customer service as really gone down hill. This past weekend, the desk clerk brought me to tears with his nasty attitude. He should not be in the hospitality industry at all!!! I will NEVER GO BACK!! I did a little research the next day & found that a few miles north in Siren, Wi, are 2 much better, cleaner, larger (rooms) with extra amenities for the same price. They have much better staff!
I had made a reservation 3 weeks ago and was given a reservation number and requested a certain room. I was not given that room because I was total they don't give conformation numbers. I thought the country Inn in luck wi, was the worst customer service I have ever had. I have stayed at this motel for almost 10 years and always had the same room. I will never use the Country Inn in Luck WI again. I will drive 10 more miles to a much better motel.
Online we were told $57 by trip advisor, we called he said it would be cheaper. Get there and the guy charges us 89.99??? How did this happen, we showed him the online prices and he refused to give us the online prices.
You get what you pay for at this hotel. Kind of old and run down, but clean. Pool is nice. Nothing to do real close to the hotel, but restaurants about 20 minutes away. Great for people on a budget. Front desk staff were nice.
If your looking for a fancy hotel this is not the place. It is clean, reasonable, and has a swimming pool!!! Another plus is its a short walk to downtown Luck. We also took advantage of the restaurant next door. All in all a good experience.
We found out that the Inn was under new management since our last stay. The rooms are nice, however, the made service left a lot to be desired. The front desk person was very helpful one night and completely changed our bed linens and cover due to being old, raggedy, etc. She was very kind and helpful. The bed linens and blankets, etc., need to be replaced. Most of the time there wasn't anyone at the front desk. We would stay here again, however there needs to be some work done.
I called for a reservation for 6 of us in one room. The suite (number S4) had 2 beds and a sofa bed. I asked if the sofa bed was comfortable and they said it was, but it was far from it. The mattress was awful, bed appeared broken and sleeping on the floor would have been better than the bed. In fact, none of the beds were comfortable and the pillows were aweful, too. The sofa bed was so bad that in the middle of the night my son and his girlfriend got up and booked another room. They did give us a small discount for the big inconvenience, but I don't think it was substantial enough for the miserable night trying to sleep there. I ended up paying $136, instead of $144 for the 1 night of misery, not to mention my son ended up paying for another room just so they could get some…
Very Nice place to stay, Just as pictured. Staff was great. Clean rooms . But would recommend asking for a room a few doors down from front desk to avoid noise from ice machine and road noise. Also restraurant next door was only open 7A to 2P.
This review might be influenced by our previous night's stay (see review of Green Acres in Spooner, WI) but we really enjoyed our stay at the Luck Country Inn. The room was nice and very quiet, the rate was great, there was a pool and hot-tub, and it was $35 less than the dump we had stayed in the night before. My only complaint was the paint was peeling above the tub/shower area and definitely needed to be re-done.
