This hotel is literally the only game in town. Or any town within 10 miles, so... It's a bit of a throwback to the 1960s or even 1950s.
All the rooms surround a large indoor pool. The rooms on the second floor open onto a balcony above the pool. So, wherever you go, there is a damp feeling and smell of chlorine. Weird.
The rooms are big, the furniture is a hodge podge of old and new. Everywhere there is something broken or worn out. In one room the carpet was literally peeling up off the floor and the A/C was broken. The mini-fridge was plugged into an outlet that didn't work. I had to pull it out of its hutch and plug it in someplace else.
In another room the TV didn't work. The clock and lamp by the bed were not plugged in. My wife sat in the desk chair and it collapsed under her. The drain in the tub was broken. There's a coffee maker, but no coffee,and no cups. We had to go buy some. Every once in a while the Wi-Fi goes out and your phone reverts to cellular data. You get the idea...
The folks are nice and friendly and other guests seemed to be having a good time hanging around the pool. I can see why some people like this place: it's cheap and maybe good for families and hunters/sportsmen (of which there were many.)
So, if your expectations are low and you won't be staying long enough to be really bugged by all these little things...

This review might be influenced by our previous night's stay (see review of Green Acres in Spooner, WI) but we really enjoyed our stay at the Luck Country Inn. The room was nice and very quiet, the rate was great, there was a pool and hot-tub, and it was $35 less than the dump we had stayed in the night before.
My only complaint was the paint was peeling above the tub/shower area and definitely needed to be re-done.

If you need accommodations in the Luck area, this may be the best option for you. The hotel offers an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a restaurant. The rooms, however, leave a lot to be desired. Cheap and old furnishings (including the mattresses), dirty (particularly noticeable in the drawers), musty smelling, markings on the walls, and the like, made for a less than perfect stay. Booking was strange as I first called and was told they were sold out. Then, while searching online for an accommodation, I was able to book this same hotel online! The restaurant also qualifies as "average," serving basic and ordinary fare. Nothing special and nothing horrible.

Online we were told $57 by trip advisor, we called he said it would be cheaper. Get there and the guy charges us 89.99??? How did this happen, we showed him the online prices and he refused to give us the online prices.

Very helpful staff, nice pool. I booked through an online source and upgraded to poolside when I arrived. I can't speak for other rooms but the poolside rooms and suites had an in-room fridge. I recommend calling the hotel directly for the best rates. I recommend this hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Luck or Frederic WI area. Very clean and quiet hotel. I have stayed in lots of hotel rooms over my lifetime and this is the first room I walked into and said this room smells wonderful. It was my first time at his hotel but it won't be my last.

I've stayed at the Luck Country Inn 3-4 times a year since 2001. The last 3 yrs, the customer service as really gone down hill. This past weekend, the desk clerk brought me to tears with his nasty attitude. He should not be in the hospitality industry at all!!! I will NEVER GO BACK!! I did a little research the next day & found that a few miles north in Siren, Wi, are 2 much better, cleaner, larger (rooms) with extra amenities for the same price. They have much better staff!

I had made a reservation 3 weeks ago and was given a reservation number and requested a certain room. I was not given that room because I was total they don't give conformation numbers. I thought the country Inn in luck wi, was the worst customer service I have ever had. I have stayed at this motel for almost 10 years and always had the same room. I will never use the Country Inn in Luck WI again. I will drive 10 more miles to a much better motel.

Went to visit family. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was very professional. The room was well furnished and clean. there is a pool area in the middle with a hot tub it was a little busy but they close the pool at night so its very quite.

We had a mini-family reunion and stayed in the suite. It was wonderful, spacious and quiet! We never heard anyone at the pool. The pool and hot tub looked very clean and well-maintained. Staff was super friendly, extremely accommodating and helpful!

I don't think all the rooms have mini fridge. But in my experience they are very good about providing you with one if you request it.
This place is about 15 mins from Taylor falls. There was a pet fee I am not sure how much it was. I want to say like $10.
