We have camped here a few times now, but it was always with friends and our sites were next to each other. This time we camped with just our family. I never realized how tiny the lots are. After pulling out camper in there was no room to have a campfire. It was roughly 2 feet away from our outdoor rug. It would have melted the rug and the canopy on our camper. Thankfully no one was in the spot next to us so we used that fire pit. We will only camp here again if we have friends to join us and have multiple site next each other for a more spacious feel. Other than that it was a nice place to camp.
Pine Groves is a small family-owned campground located on a Class A muskie lake in Northern Wisconsin. Joyce and Craig, your hosts, are very friendly and accommodating. The resort is very quiet (quiet hours are enforced!) and clean.
We stayed at the campground with our camper. We were in spot 1 which is right next to the lake and steps away from the restaurant/bar and general store. They people were very nice the campground was clean and spacious. I am looking forward to visiting again next summer!!
We stayed here recently - two adults and three children. We knew that the cabins would be old, but had no idea how dirty theywould be . . . Ants crawling in the shower, flying bugs around the bathroom window, and pee stains on the mattresses. The lake itself was very close, and it was nice to have the general store close by in case we needed any supplies. This place would be great if the owners spent a few $$ to keep it cleaner and to replace old furniture, etc.
