I stayed at the Stella for my graduation from UW-P. I have stayed at other boutique hotels before in WI and this one was lacking a bit of charm. The photos online were a bit different than the rooms actually looked. The cleaning could have been improved upon as well. There were areas housekeeping seemed to miss like behind the bathroom door. The place was fine, don't get me wrong but I was expecting more of a boutique experience and got a Holiday Inn vibe without the free breakfast.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Stella recently for my birthday and got food poisoning from the restaurant a couple hours after eating. Our symptoms included chills, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. I called the hotel to notify them and the manager immediately became defensive and deflected. She stated that there was a bottle of pink Moscato in the room and told me to go to the doctor. This made me feel completely invalidated and she was so rude. Now, my boyfriend and I are still dealing with the food poisoning and recovering. Thinking about calling the health department. Two people do not randomly get chills and endless vomit and diarrhea from one bottle of wine, OBVIOUSLY. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I and both of our families will NOT be giving anymore money to the Stella Hotel.…
What a great hotel in Kenosha. The hotel is downtown a few blocks from the lake. There were a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Free parking nearby. We did encounter some folks in the parking garage that appeared to be homeless which was distracting. There was a lot of traffic around the hotel during the night and the noise could be heard through our windows. In fairness we were at the end of the hall. The lobby if the hotel is charming. On-site coffee spot, bar and restaurant were busy. The building is a repurposed Elks Club and the remodeling was fantastic. Would recommend this property
Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Well appointed hotel. Rooms comfortable, very quiet and the A/C worked great. Very clean. Common areas well done, clean and welcoming. The hotel was perfectly located close to the venue we were attending and a variety of restaurants. We were very pleased and would go back.
Went to the Crow’s nest rooftop bar with my fiancé for the first time and wow what an experience! The atmosphere was great, the sun was shining on us as we sipped our cold drinks and it was just a great days to get the first taste of summer! Man oh man can Tori make some drinks! She was the bartender working during our trip and she has a great personality, very good with people and is super knowledgeable about the special drinks available! I went with the maple old fashion and my fiancé tried the Lake Michigan Mai tai and they were both excellent. We will definitely be back many times this summer and I’ll be looking for Tori at the bar each and every time! Sorry drinks were so good we finished them before I even thought to take a picture!
Fairly new renovations, nice showers. Good access to good food and downtown area near the lakefront. Didn't get to take advantage of rooftop bar (not open as of May 19, 2022). One of the nicest places we stayed on our week in the area.
I travelled from Spain to Kenosha via Chicago in May 2022. I spent a week at The Stella. This hotel was spotless and incredibly modern. The staff were helpful and always had a smile on their face. I will definitely return later this year. Thanks to the manager and all involved for making my stay such a good one.
We stayed at the Stella hotel this past weekend and we LOVED it and recommend it completely! Olivia, Amber and Thomas were amazing and and helped us have an amazing experience with their excellent customer service! We will definitely be going back for a getaway.
We enjoyed a very pleasant overnight! Hotel's location, interesting ambiance & decor, room furnishings, friendly & helpful desk clerks made our stay a huge success. The morning desk clerk thoughtfully offered to take a photo of us. He enhanced our stay by giving us a happy memory photo!
Our organization had an event this past weekend and we are very grateful for the staff! We had a great time, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing. We received a lot of compliments for the event and much of it was directly related to the hotel. Thank you for making our event a complete success. On behalf of the Potter Center THANK YOU!
