Unmatched hospitality by hosts Balachandran and Mini coupled with a thousand distinct views of the Western Ghats makes this a memorable stay. And a must visit for those who want to enjoy nature but remain rooted in urban comfort. The rooms and bathrooms are impeccable. Each meal is delicious and has some unique local ingredients. Most will extend their stay and leave with memories of their conversations with the hosts. This is indeed the Diamond standard of the Kerala homestay model.
The stay wit Namath was just amazing .. it feels likes home the real meaning of homestay is wen u come here u will understand Wat a homestay means … uncle and my sweet aunty they make us feel like we were their kids .. thanks a lot for such a wonderful hospitality Food 🥘 was the best I feel everyone shld have this experience whilst staying in Namah I will miss them both Hope to be back soon
I have so much to say that I will put it as points to keep it easy to assimilate for you: 1) Wonderful location, amazing interiors that are the result of a successful symphony between contemporary design and traditional architecture. The huge glass windows is the contemporary element that gives you great views(gorgeous hills and ever changing views with the play of sun, clouds and winds), wind and sunlight, while the Kerala style furniture and tiles gives it the homely feel of a loving Kerala house. This is just one example. Go there to find out more :) 2) Most caring homestay people. The place is run by an uncle and aunty that are my parent's age and their respective moms!! So, one of the aunties was 83 years old and she used to greet us with such a bright smile. Their family was super inspiring and caring. Their other staff have also inculcated work ethic and humility from their employers. 3) Gastronomical food experience cushioned by the feeling of a home that will serve you super tasty and complicated dishes with the same vibe as a Rice kanji(if you feel unwell.) - We overate every single meal because we just did not know how to stop! Very nutritious vegetarian meals with lots of veggies. Aunty has a knack for creating subtle flavor experience in her dishes. Her puddings are the best end to the great meals there. 4) Very calming, serene and nurturing energy - This is the feel that that place and people and the scenery develops in you. Town is nearby with treks to do as well. 5) Enough space to do yoga/dance, taking long walks/jogs around the area. There are power cuts that do happen. So, if you plan to work from there, you would need to use your hotspot at that time. It is a through and through vegetarian place. So, Please bear that in mind. I can assure you that you will not miss non-veg food. We did not in the short 2 days stay there and I think we would have happily stayed much longer without non-veg. Market is nearby, if you want to try other places too. Many other restaurants nearby.…
This is a beautifully designed new homestay with spacious, comfortable rooms and great views over the rolling hills of the Wayanad district. Hosts are extremely hospitable and their home cooking is amazing. Wholeheartedly recommended.
This was one of our finest stays ever. Nature's beauty from the room was outstanding - wish I was a painter! Neat clean rooms, bathrooms. Awesome authentic pure veg Kerala food with wide variety prepared by the lady of the house - simple homely with a smile. She is a master chef! Undoubtedly, every bit has been thought very carefully. The couple takes utmost care of each and every guests. Hat's off to them!
For my trip to Wayanad, I was keen on staying at a homely and comfortable place and Namaha proved to be the best decision. It's a beautiful built property, located in the lush green and very quaint town of Meppadi, perfect for a gateway from the madness and chaos of a city life. Our room was clean and very spacious with a extraordinary view of the Sleeping Lady mountain. The house in itself was adorned with little charms and token which added a very authentic and personal touch. To add to this, our very warm hosts took it upon themselves to ensure that we had a wholesome experience, be it helping us plan out our day, making arrangements, introducing us to some exquisite Kerala cuisine, or generally chatting up with us. They offer vegetarian food, but no complaints at all. We were hoping to use the swimming pool which was not operational, but apart from that we were extremely happy.…
I couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway. Nestled between the rolling green mountains of Wayanad, this homestay was straight out of a dream. The house by itself was super clean, contemporary and very aesthetically done up. Every room has their own little patios that have sweeping views of the valley. I wish the infinity pool was operational too. What added to this sensorial experience was the authentic home-cooked Kerala food. Bala and Mini prepared some special Kerala curries for us. While i was travelling with a bunch of non-foodies but they all ate to their heart's content which should describe how amazing our culinary experience was. Thank you Bala and ,Mini for having us.
After much deliberation and research on places at Wayanad, we booked this home stay for a welcome change from stereotype resorts.. Pros: 1. Clean and spacious rooms with breathtaking views overseeing the mountain 2. Their USP is the home cooked delicious pure vegetarian Kerala cuisine 3. Without a hitch, they arranged for bonfire when we asked for it.. it was their first time to set up a bonfire.. it was fun.. Cons: 1. We booked three rooms since we were three families. The room adjacent to the dining room lacks privacy, its noisy during dawn since kitchen starts operating as early as 7 am. You will not get sleep beyond 7 am in this room. This room also had some issues with the door lock and calls for better maintenance. The other 4 rooms are all good. 2. Solar water heaters are installed, so literally no hot water at all during our stay, we had to wait for them to provide hot water kept in gas stove. Which means you cannot use rain showers and hand showers installed in the bathroom if sun is not shining. Electric Geysers are a must and we highly recommend it to the hosts. 3. Swimming pool is not operational until March 2019, it's undergoing some maintenance work. We were not aware of this and were too excited about the infinity pool which caused us little disappointment. Overall it was a good experience, home away from home, kids really enjoyed the lawn and the empty pool where they played football.. Thanks to Bala uncle, Mini aunty, and their relatives who made our stay comfortable and happy. Special mention to the caretaker Satish who took care of our needs during the stay. …

Had spent a wonderful weekend with family in Namaha. Excellent service, delicious vegetarian home cooked food and exceptionally well designed living spaces and bathrooms that are well beyond expectations in Wayanad. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good Homestay experience.
