We reached the place after a hectic long journey from Trivandrum and had no trouble locating the place. It was a pleasure to be awaited and greeted and hosted with the most comforting bath, food and bed that refreshed us so well.

We are a family of 5 and we often find it hard to find a room that could house us comfortably. But the room at tea routes was so big with a varandah that fitted us so relaxedly.

Special mention for

the cleanliness of the place
the homely but exotic and rich spread on the dining table that makes you await for the next!
the super hosts that truly enjoy what they do which radiates to us as so much of warmth and positive vibe.

the property stay enroute a beautiful tea plantation and leaves you as refreshed as a strong hot tea would for a weary traveller.

It was a 2BHK with large open area and nice natural view. We were two families, stayed there for 3 days and were greeted with home made very delicious foods. The place was clean and hygienic. The hospitality was amazing, thanks to My Sudarshan and his family.

The house was very well maintained with furniture and other essential stuff. The food was delicious and served with love and warmth, special mention to Smita madam for taking care. The scenic beauty of the place was heavenly. It was a place where we would like to go multiple times as if it was our second home.

We stayed for a night at this wonderful home stay during our visit to Chembra peak in April 2015.
Sudarshan and Smitha are wonderful hosts.we had a memorable time there.
This scenic home stay is located pretty close to chembra peak.
They had two rooms there, with a dining cum living room a verandah and a kitchen, even though we booked one room only they allowed our kids to use the other room.the hosts stay at an annexe close by.
Smitha is an excellent cook.we had an awesome dinner breakfast and lunch there.
Sudarshan has a very good collection of old coins and currency notes a hobby he started when he was 7 years of age.
Our younger daughter was very much interested as she started collecting stamps and coins recently.he even gave her a good number of old coins.

We will definitely recommend Tea routes homestay to all.

Me and my family went there on 25th December 2014. It took us close to 9hrs to reach the place from Bangalore (Thanks to me getting sick on the way :( ) But the moment I saw this place it was pure bliss. The homestay is beautiful! Sparkling clean and tidy. Nice cozy rooms. They have a small bungalow where quite a big group can stay. And it is all yours. It's not like you have to share it with any other group staying. We were a group of 5 people and the place was more than enough for us. Sudarshan and his wife, Smitha, are a lovely couple. Very helpful and polite. Breakfast comes complimentary and we went for the traditional Kerala breakfast. They made Putte and Appam with Kadhalkari. It was mouth watering to say the least. We requested for dinner and they made so much food! chicken curry and pulao and fired chicken to name a few. And it cost just 1250 for 5 people. Pretty cheap huh! They have guinea pigs and turkeys and guinea fowls. A small pond filled with pretty fishes. A cute little tortoise living in its own pond. There is also a sunset point on their property and you can see the Chembra peak right from there. The view is breath-taking.

Point to note: If you're using GPS to reach the place, it is actually a little beyond the point where the GPS says you have reached the destination. There is an MCE (or MCA? sorry forgot the exact name) auditorium and its very close to it. We were actually lost and Sudarshan was kind enough to come up to the auditorium and guide us from there.

All in all it was a wonderful stay for us. Just being there makes you feel good :)

If you're visting Wayanad anytime soon do consider Tea Route Holiday Homes for your stay. You will definitely not regret it.

Thank you Sudarshan for the hospitality. And of course we loved your currency and coin collection :)

Thanks,
Priyanka.

My husband and I recently stayed with Mr and Mrs Sudershan at the tea route homestay on a winter trip to Wayanad. The clean ,cosy house is surrounded by the well kept lawn with pet guinea pigs, fowl and dog to give you company. For the adventurous or outdoor types the location is perfect with the chembra peak and soochipara falls close by .The hosts are extremely gentle and caring people and make one feel like a family member with their warm hospitality yet give the required privacy. They serve hot tasty kerala cuisine so massive in amount that you literally beg them to stop! They are extremely flexible and served us meals at very early hours when needed , arranged for our sightseeing and even dropped us personally at the bus stop at 4.30 in the morning. The charges are too good to be true compared to the quality of service. In short its the best homestay we have ever stayed in would love to go back in near future. When in Wayanad, look no further. Just one request.. Tobby the dog should be allowed inside the house!

"Tea Route" - Excellent & Wonderful place to stay during your Wayanad visit whether you go as a Family or with Friends or as Couples, or business meet ups or a solo trip. Tea route home stay offers great comfort with tranquility and anyone would fall in love with the warm hospitality by home stay owner MR.Sudarshana and his family and definitely you will make this home stay as your second home whenever you visit Wayanad.

One more specialty about this home stay is the Dishes/Snacks prepared by Mrs.Sudarshana which are really awesome and wonderful. If someone is a foodie and wanted to try dishes native to kerala along with other south&north indian then definitely you should stay here...

1. Accommodation is superb with the management of good hospitality persons and food making is in fact the home food . You really live it.
2.We people as a group of 6 enjoyed the time in the pleasant corridors of home stay and there is no restrictions imposed.
3.Owner Mr.Sudharshan is really hospitable of helping you on whatever you needed about the places and surroundings.
4. Near by visit places are Soochippara waterfall( this feels little tiresome as you got to go down around 2 km on foot ),Kuruba island (not much to see but will enjoy with water when you go with groups),Chembera peak (though we missed out due to lack of time and tiredness)
5.In short plan for your trip and this is really nice home stay to visit and relax with time. I would recommend you to plan the site places and you will cherish the trip.
