We booked this resort after looking at the website and apparently rave reviews about this place. Little did we know that this was the worst decision we made. A day before checking in I was told that there was no wifi available in the villas we had booked! The only place they had wifi was in the lobby. Not a good thing to hear in the last minute and should have been disclosed upfront at the time of booking. On the day of checking in, we finally made it to this place through some rough roads. The last few kilometers leading to this resort are NOT cemented. Again- not disclosed. The property manager handed us the keys to the villas and we were shocked to see big mosquitoes in the rooms and toilets. There were ants on the walls and there was a distinct smell coming from the rooms as though these rooms had not been used for weeks! We were thoroughly disappointed- and to add to that, there was only one ceiling fan - no A/C. - Surprise! The biking paths are so rough that there is no way you could use the bicycle without hurting your butt. The swimming pool was dirty. There was cow-dung smell coming from around the poolside. We were here with our family and kids and we found these conditions totally inhabitable. When I spoke to the property manager and reservations team, I was told that they would take care of the mosquito problem - again, a hotel shouldn’t have to wait until someone complains about these things - they should have all been addressed before arrival to make for a comfortable check-in experience. I wish I had booked another hotel: we checked out the same day and went back to Kozhikode. There was no refund offered. Overall, a terrible experience at this resort.…
This property is highly over rated ! Rooms are called by fancy names but not even ventilated !!! Ants bed bugs all over !!! hardly any lights in the room . To top it off when we wanted to leave they didnt even give us a refund . PLS STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT ITS A SCAM. We paid for 3 rooms and didnt get any money refunded
Located amidst coffee and betel nut plantations, this forest resort helps you forge a relationship with its natural surroundings. With enchanting views and multiple accommodation options, After the Rains gives you the comfort and privacy of a truly exclusive retreat. I miss walking around the plantations & going down towards the betel nut expanse. I stayed at Lilikoi and Pimienta and enjoyed the views they both offer. Thanks to Arjun & the rest of the team for being on their feet throughout my stay.
My husband found this hidden gem as our 1st wedding anniversary surprise gift and I loved this place......i never been such a beautiful place especially a room with such an amazing view that my eyes couldn't believe. It is than wt we are able to find on website special mention to Arjun from the restaurant and I'm so sorry that I missed some of the staffs name though all are sweet warm welcoming people.
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.hope to visit again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Slightly away from main city centres so own vehicle recommended. Served us complementary local sweet dishes. Limited varities of jain food was served on demand. Could not explore the property / enjoy the views due to leeches / mist. Staff is courteous. Approach road is un paved. Overall recommended.
This is a late post due to busy schedule however is a must as this could help many people not booking this place. To start with, like all the others even we felt wow with all the pictures that is displayed on their website and booked this place for my husband's birthday during Oct 8th to Oct'10th. Considering it was a birthday celebration and a good getaway for all three of us (with my kid), we booked the most "PREMIUM ROOM" of this resort which had a private parking facility and the most expensive one. We travelled for 7 hours with our 2.5 year old baby from Bangalore to enter a room full of cob webs, dirty curtains, unclean bathroom, bed and linen full of fungal growth and musty smell (which was eventually changed later on). Solid soap bar was almost a liquid in the pack. Cob webs just above the bed 's lamp shade due to which my little kid developed allergy and rashes the next day. We are an amid travellers and have never seen one such premium room ever in our life. Pictures attached for reference. Although the management assured they would rectify and clean it, it was way too much for us to take all this on my husband's birthday. It is not about rectifying post check-in but is about maintaining and managing property for the price you quote. We wanted to leave the place immediately the next day and the entire management was rude enough not to listen to us. They try to close the gate assuming a guest who complains might escape without payment. They made us wait with 2.5 years old kid of ours in lobby for more than hour quarrelling about their rules and policies. WE PAID whatever was the cancellation charges and booked a room at "Pepper trail" which made up all our bad experience at this place, which was indeed was our first choice and regretted not booking it. We tried reaching the MD through the Manager but the management does not want to talk to the guest and hear out. All they need is money! With this kind of attitude, I am sure they will not sustain in this field of hospitality where guest satisfaction is utmost. I know you run a business but hospitality is not all business of money! I do not even regret paying the cancellation charges but regret the entire trip to this place and ruining the celebration time. Only good part about this place are the staffs working in the restaurant who are so humble but are mis used by this so called "Useless management". These kids should work in some other place where they are respected and groomed well for their future. With the season of Christmas and new year coming ahead, this is for all of you who is looking to book this place to save money and also valuable leisure time you plan for your family. I shall never recommended this place to anyone as it is not even close to 0.5% as what shown on the website. Regards Vidya Trip typeFamily · Holiday Location4.0Service2.0Rooms1.0…
Location: not too difficult to find with google map . One road in and out. Rooms: clean and neat, basic toiletries one would expect in a hotel of this class such as brushes, paste etc were not provided, not even a bucket. No one bothered to enquire about the comfort of stay either. Pool was closed due to restrictions of Covid 19 as informed from reception. Hospitality & room service: It appeared like the property is just picking up after the lockdown and the recruits handling the room are new to hospitality industry. Received multiple hesitant responses for even simple requests like serving tea at room. Food: this section is in good hands and well taken care of. Activities:walk in the property and fishing turned out to be pretty engaging and fun for our family of 10 . Check in process took too much time as the manager was hesitating to let us move to room despite letting him know that all possessed covid certificate and 2 of us will stay back to submit records. It took some stern talk to finally get him to open up the rooms for babies and ladies in the group. However he was pretty helpful and concerned next day when our travel out from the property got delayed due to a vehicle stuck in the route to tis property. Provided food and essentials for the juniors in the group. Thanking for the concern shown. Final opinion: Recommended for the views from all rooms alike. It was gorgeous!!Hope the team will look into service aspect and improve. They sure are capable to do so. The potential here to grow into one among the most sought after resorts in Wayanad is huge.…
