My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at one of the cabins (Harry 3) and it was just perfect for us to relax and unwind. Our cabin had a little deck that was just for us and we spent a large part of the first day just relaxing and listening to the leaves rustle. The second day we explored...

From the moment we boarded the ferry to the island until the moment we departed We were in a beautifully refined 100+ year old retreat with natural beauty and the experience of fine dining in a historic setting. Stout's Island Lodge maintains its heritage as a wealthy family retreat but offers amenities for today's vacationers to step back in time...

Room was extremely cozy. Decor was excellent. Bed was super-soft and comfortable. We were able to walk around most of the island and there were lots of great views. Food was varied and good. Beer was excellent. Would recommend.

Our room was Wilson1. Great views of the lake, a comfortable bed, coffee maker, microwave, coffee maker and a steam slower were included. Continental breakfast was included and the dining room food was excellent, not inexpensive but well prepared. The quiet was very rewarding and we plan to return. Kudos to the gardener, Kelly.

Stout's Island is amazing - beautiful, serene, relaxing, quaint, charming, historic, cozy.... I could go on. The only reason I cannot give Stout's Island an "Excellent" rating is the restaurant. One morning of our visit, they didn't have any hot breakfast to offer (only cold cereal, fruit, toast, etc.). As far as the menu goes, we thought it was very...

We really enjoyed our stay and the food was great! The Stout's Burger is one of the best I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the water sports available to use, and luckily discovered the little known game room above the boat house. The lake is a magnificent adventure and the nature trail...

We spent a long weekend at the end of August in order to get away and just relax, and had an amazing time! The landscaping is gorgeous! There are wonderful little places to sit and read or reflect all over the island. The staff was very responsive! Food was delicious. Our amazing room was rustically elegant with a great fireplace...

Place is absolutely amazing. Nice location and the island has been well maintained. We stayed in Douglas room and it was very big..and seemed recently upgraded. Could not have asked for more. And free access to the kayak, canoe, hydrobike made our stay more fun!! Bonefire at night was nice too. Only thing that stopped me from giving 5 star...

It is just as pictured! We spent a weekend there for a friend's wedding. It was like stepping back in time. The food was AMAZING, the staff were attentive. You can walk the island, use the boats, play games or enjoy a glass of wine sitting in an adirondack chair enjoying the view. It rained the day we left &...

My new husband and I spent 5 gorgeous days at Stout's Island soaking up the beauty of the surroundings, savoring the delicious food, and getting thoroughly spoiled by the generous and skilled staff. Our accommodations left nothing to be desired - from the panoramic views of the lake to the perfectly chosen furnishings and indulgent amenities, we were mightily happy....
