We had the pleasure of staying at the Thomas Shepherd Inn for three days. We wanted a B&B that was near a civil ward battlefield and also near wineries and this B&B fit that criteria. The inn is in the town of shepherdstown and is a short walk to the college. It is also on the main street and we...

We stayed at The Thomas Shepherd Inn in June 2015 while hiking the C&O canal. The inn, about a mile off the towpath, was easily accessible. Lauren and Dave were wonderful hosts: friendly, accommodating, professional, and more! They helped us in every way we asked; thanks so much! The inn was beautifully restored and decorated. The common spaces and rooms...

I can't say enough about this wonderful B&B. Lauren and David are tremendous, warm and friendly and went above and beyond paying attention to every detail to make their B&B a model of excellence. The location is great (you can walk everywhere in town), parking was easy, everything was clean, comfortable and charming. The attention to detail is what blew...

This is a wonderful old B&B in a great location. It is close to downtown and they provide a map and recommendations for restaurants, etc. They room was nicely appointed and the breakfast was delicious.

This review is written by a bicyclist, who had just gotten off his bike after a hot 50+ mile ride. From the outside the place looked pretty fancy (and indeed it was). However my fears were quickly put to rest by the most wonderful host ever. She seemed to actually cater to bicyclists and immediately put me and my spouse...

This is one of the best Bed&Breakfast places we have ever been to! In the center of The historic and quaint town of Shepherdstown, WV. A stone's throw from Sharpsburg and the Antietam battlefield and the many wineries of Northern Virginia. However, the best part are the owners and the B&B!! Lauren and Dave are extremely friendly and very attentive....

Spent a weekend at this B&B. Plenty of available parking behind the inn. Greeted with a warm smile from Innkeeper Lauren. Very pretty common areas. Gluten free oatmeal cookies which melt in your mouth. Lauren and Dave are wonderful cooks and hosts. Breakfast was both hearty and healthy. Really great coffee. Freshly squeezed orange juice. recommendations they gave us for...

Our opportunity to stay was regretfully limited to one night, but we fully enjoyed our stay there. The quaint inn is located within walking distance of the 11 downtown eateries in Shepherdstown, perfect for a short stroll and chance to hold hands. The well-appointed room was waiting after dinner, with very comfortable beds, and plenty of towels and robes provided....

I'd highly recommend the Thomas Shepherd Inn to anyone traveling to Shepherdstown. The Inn was well-decorated and had ample amenities - we were very comfortable staying in our room or hanging out in the parlor. Lauren and Dave provide plenty of snacks and drinks for guests, and the breakfast was phenomenal - healthy yet filling. Also couldn't beat the location...

Thomas Shepherd's Inn is a very nice B&B located at the end of a quaint downtown area with lots of nice restaurants and stores to visit. The B&B is clean and comfortable and the owner was very pleasant, but not overwhelming. She had sherry, tea and cookies out in the evening and her breakfast was excellent.
