Our vehicle broke down in front of the Mothman Statue on a Sunday evening (yes, really) and the hotel's owner Rush graciously rented us a room for the night providing some much needed accomodations with terrific ambiance as a bonus. The next day, the local mechanic couldn't get our truck fixed by the end of the business day, so Lowe... More

Spontaneous decision to stay here while out on local overnight trip for sightseeing in the area. With no reservations, acquired a suite for a reasonable price. The suite appears to be several original rooms combined with a little remodeling. Lovely view over the Ohio River. After looking around the hotel, it was pointed out if I was 111 years old,... More

So many things to say about this hotel! The owners are on site and are a fount of information! The hotel is historic, cozy and relaxed. This is not a luxurious hotel, but it is an experience in of itself. Walk around and look at the antiques in this beautiful hotel which has been continuously operating since 1901. It's close... We stayed here 07/11/2015 and we have fell in love with this hotel. It has character and charm like no other. Our room was very nicely decorated with antiques and we had a jetted bath tub in the adjoining room. Loved that we had to use a skeleton key to lock and unlock our room. We didn't want to leave... Stay here! Our family really enjoyed our brief stay at the Lowe Hotel. We arrived after 9pm, no reservation. After stopping at a local convenience store to inquire about lodging, we were told there was only one hotel in town. We drove to the hotel and, being good travelers, viewed a room before checking-in. We were overtaken by the charm... More

When entering the hotel the lobby is like taking a step back in time. The green of the tiled fireplace and the white of the marble staircase somehow just has a grand feel. You can definitely see the potential of what this old hotel used to be. The staff when we first arrived was very nice and friendly. Was informed... More

This is an old fashioned circa 1901 hotel that has certainly seen betters times, but still retains the charm and elegance of bygone days. Although they no longer provide a restaurant service, the whole place has been lovingly preserved by the current owners in the style of that bygone period. The owner, Rush & Ruth Finley are the third family... More

Not only were we going to Point Pleasant West Virginia to see the Mothman but, we were staying in a 110 year old haunted hotel! AND !!!! To make it even better ... he made... More

Me and my wife came here for the weekend to see the historic sites and to visit the mothman museum. We stayed in a jacuzzi room, which was a very comfortable room, and the jacuzzi was in its own seperate area in our room. The jacuzzi was amazing, and there was indeed hot water. It just takes a while for... More
