Drove for over an hour out of our way each way to go here for dinner. Upon entering we were asked if we would be having dinner and told to seat ourselves. We sat at a table for 15 minutes or so and never saw wait staff or bartender. We left without ever even been offered a glass of water.... More

Our B&B owner recommended the Elk Springs Resort for dinner and he was right. We were extremely and pleasantly surprised by the resort tucked away in the mountains at the head of the Elk River. I got the trout (it is a trout fly fishing resort by the way) and my wife got the filet tenderloins. Both were just delicious... More

I spent a long weekend at ESR with a bunch of buddies. The goal...Have a great time fly fishing for trout. We rented a cabin, The Erica, for the 6 of us. Upon reaching ESR, it was clearly evident that our timing for fishing was not good. The river was extremely low as the area hadn't seen rain in weeks... More

We went up to stay at the Elk Springs Resort for a week last week. My fiancé and I both love fly fishing and couldn't wait to try out the resort and fishing. We were highly impressed with everything about the resorts. We stayed in the western room the first two nights and were moved to the Jungle room for... More

Our first experience fly fishing was awesome! We stayed at the Lodge which was beautiful. I would have given it a 5 but the walls were rather thin and we could hear our neighbors. Other than that everything was fabulous. Our guide, Troy, was super cute, patient, helpful and knowledgeable. We caught several trout and are now hooked on fly... More

Very nice grounds, clean, well kept cabins, friendly, (for the most part) staff. We did not eat at the restaurant, but they do have a regular menu. We stayed in the little cabins for 2 nights in June. The shower/bathroom facility was very clean and well maintained. A little funky in that each cabin is assigned a private shower and... More
