Delighted with our stay. While not a B&B in the classic sense, it has all the polish and penache of higher-scale hotels. The owners don't simply treat you like a guest...they treat you like you're long-time friends. The setting is surreal. Our room was remarkable. Dinners (we dined both nights) is just shy of perfection. At first blush, the location...

This charming B&B is situated in the West Virginia mountains with lovely views. It's beautifully decorated and well kept. We loved the many rooms and fireplaces that you could enjoy with a book or a game of Scrabble. The owners and staff are very hospitable and provide you with a wonderful experience. I love that two of the rooms are...

Beautiful location, wonderful owners, great staff, and the food was incredible. Couldn't ask for more! Not a far drive from the NOVA/DC area, but far enough away that you feel lost in the beauty of the wilderness. The owners are amazing, so warm and accommodating. So much fun stuff to do on the property alone (everything from a spa to...

Me and my boyfriend saw lost river on a living social deal and were attracted by the free breakfast, free bottle of wine per night, 25 dollars towards dinner ever night, gym, jacuzzi, beauty etc....We were extremely surprised and delighted by this place in so many ways. It was very close and easy to get to and when we arrived...

When we needed a place to stay unexpectedly, the owners of the Guesthouse at Lost River went ot of their way to welcome us and provided a wonderful room. In addition the facility and grounds are beautiful and offer guests a peaceful get-away. I highly recommend this as a place to break away from the normal fast pace of life.

Had a wonderful two night stay over NYE at the Guesthouse at Lost River. The staff were very warm and welcoming and the lodge is the perfect escape from the "real world". Having no cell phone reception (but adequate WiFi) was awesome to disconnect and reconnect.

My husband and I visited during December. If your looking for a little quiet time where you don't have to go anywhere then it's a great place. Beautiful rooms to hang out in to read a book, shoot pool, play games, sit in front of a fire. This place has so many unique rooms to hang out in, you just...

We visited during the Winter months and were very impressed with the overall feel and friendliness of the Guest House. We came with a group of 10 people in 5 rooms and had access to a media room that had a TV, kitchenette and fireplace. It is the perfect place to catch up with friends. Other highlights included the common...

We had heard from friends about this 'gay friendly" lodge in the moutains of this remote, but yet only 2 hours from Northern Virginia. Actually we'd list it as "straight friendly" too. The welcome, the arrival, the laid back but totally relaxing environment was exceptional. We felt like we were at our personal home in the wilderness with all the...

This is a great place to go for a relaxing weekend away. We stayed in the Guesthouse Suite, which was perfect for us on our anniversary weekend. We loved the fireplace in the room and the private deck with a nice view. When we travel on a weekend of hiking and relaxation, we want some space to read, relax, and...
