We were celebrating a family member birthday. We were a table of seven. They don't accept reservations normally was our understanding but made exception for us. The wait staff was extraordinary... we all had brunch -- great fresh farm to table foods.. we were thrilled with the service, food and atmosphere.

We eat brunch here as often as possible. The best breakfast and brunch food I have ever had. Fresh and healthy options. Perfectly seasoned and such an interesting and relaxing atmosphere. My favorite spot for breakfast on Saturdays.

I have been staying at the General Lewis Inn for over 40 years, through several owners. I made my reservation (June, 217) at the inn and was told that one room was remaining due to a wedding party. I accepted the room and received confirmation. Several weeks later I received a phone message that due to a computer problem, my...

We are so glad you decided to stay with us again. We did indeed have a computer error, that allowed us to book a room that was not actually available. It is the only time this has ever happened, and of course we would LOVE to have you come back for a complimentary stay. We had no idea that a...

We enjoyed spending our Christmas holiday at this wonderful old inn. While the rooms were small (what you might expect in a very old hotel), each room had a bath, lovely antique furnishings, and crisp bed linens. We also spent time reading in the common room around the warm fire and had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Highly recommended!...

Such an amazing Inn. Beautiful furnishings, lovely staff and in a walking town. We were so happy to be able to stay here. Close to hiking trails and the Greenbrier. You can't find a sweeter place with all the historic ambiance. Front porch. Patio. Lovely lobby. And rooms that are so welcoming.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Inn for the weekend. We had the Destiny Garden Suite. Our stay was amazing to say the least. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly faces. Our suite was fit for royalty. It was all we could have wanted and more. Our brunch in the dining room was so delicious I wanted...

I met friends for a girls' weekend. We enjoyed at stay at the Gen. Lewis Inn thoroughly. The rooms are well-appointed, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the service is top-notch! We had an excellent dinner one evening and then relaxed in the Thistle Lounge by the fire with some good wine. The lounge also offers a range of...

My wife and I were in town visiting in-laws, and we decided to stay in The General Lewis Inn. It was a phenomenally charming place to stay with a lovely room and spacious bathroom. We had a view over the manicured and garden with the reflection pool. Every need was tended too (and there were even complimentary baked goods on...

We booked 3 nights (unfortunately we had to leave one night early, my husband took ill) under the Valentines package that they were offering. First of all, I have only stayed here previously on business and really liked the inn than as well. We stayed in room 204 in the West portion (original building). The bed is probably and honestly...

I have been going to the General Lewis for many, many years. However, my recent visit I found many changes that I'm not sure that all of them were for the best. I consider the General Lewis Inn one of my favorite getaways. Even while I was deployed years ago I flew into Andrews AFB in Washington, rented a car...
