I searched for hours on the Internet to find a campgrounds that would accommodate a small pop-up camper, that would NOT accommodate big RVs and their flat screens, and, if possible, afford us a sleeping place near gurgling water. Abrams Creek Campground to the rescue! We had to drive two hours from Delaware to Pennsylvania to rent a pop-up, then...

The staff who work there are actually very friendly. So I have no complains about this. However, my real problem is with the cleanness and tidiness. This place is by far the dirtiest I have ever seen. The cabin's smell is really bad like you can't sleep in it because of the strong old odor. Maybe it is because too...

Abrams creek campground is a private campground near Mt Storm WV. It is nestled up to Abrams creek which offers great exploring and swimming opportunities. The campground is fairly private and a good place to go to get away from the crowds. However the privies are nasty outhouses and the showers are dingy and in old boxcars. The owner needs...

We stayed in the cottage Memorial Day weekend. The pictures of the cottage that we found through both trip advisor and the Abrams Creek website looked nice. We arrived to find a cottage in poor condition and filthy! It is advertised that sheets and towels etc are provided but when we arrived and saw the condition of the place we...

It is hard to know how to respond when so many things in the review are simply inaccurate, or are about what the guest *imagined* rather than what was true. The cottage was cleaned thoroughly before their arrival, there was no dust on the counters, the linens are washed in a commercial washer and are certainly changed between guests. The...

So I wanted to give this place a full five but our week there was not as good as it could have been. The scenery was beautiful, and the cabin was fine. If you are looking for a five star accommodations cabin, this is not it. No power and no running water. You even have to provide your own lighting...

Yes the nature is beautiful, but the site numbering, the helpfulness of staff to locate an appropriate site when I'd dark around 8.30 pm is lacking, an the facilities a worst than in a 3 word country. Around, the bathhouse is a dump area which I found it ironic when the caretaker is a wildlife biologist. I don't recommend it...

My husband and I decided to rent the Retreat for a week for our wedding anniversary.CONS: We get there and the cabin was so dirty and smelled of propane. We contacted the maintenance guy and let him know about the propane smell so he turned of propane heater. The only heat source then was small electric heaters which didnt help...

Abrams Creek campground is a great place to escape from the crowds. All the tent sites are separated so there's lots of privacy. Many sites are located along the creek with the soothing sounds of water splashing and the opportunity to wade or cool off in the water. Not really enough for swimming but you can get all the way...

Short version: Cabins are overpriced, "glorified sheds", dirty and equipped with furniture that belongs in a landfill. Electricity is provided by a series of extension cords which probably wouldn't pass an electrical permit inspection in Mexico, let alone the United States. Due to the questionable hygiene of this cabin, I elected to sleep on the floor, a friend on the...
